Where to start... Probably one of the most unfriendly and filthy places we have ever stayed at through Booking.com, we couldn't wait to check out. We were travelling with our dog and requested a ground floor room beforehand. We were told this had been allocated for us (see attached photo of messages). Upon arrival, the £10 pet fee was paid, however, the person at reception very clearly had a HUGE dislike of dogs. We were told that we'll be staying on the second floor - up an extremely steep and narrow staircase. It was a nightmare to navigate the stairs. The hotel is on a very busy road and there is no suitable place to walk a dog, not even around the nearby side streets that consists of concrete, car parks and flats. There is a boom gate to the parking area. The person at reception needs to open the gate each time guests want to get their car in / out. They also have to open the gate if you wish to collect something from your car - there is no way to squeeze past the gate without it being opened. Issue is 1) the person at reception was extremely stand-offish and 2) could not see the boom gate from the reception area. This meant a phone call to reception each time we wanted to access/leave the car park. A couple of times we phoned and asked for the gate to be opened and the call was simply cut off. A group of young men were gathered around the reception area at all hours of the day & night to chat with the person at reception. They would stop talking and glare at guests arriving or leaving and pulled their faces in disapproval at the sight of our dog. The room was the size of a shoebox and filthy. The shower drain was clogged with hair, the toilet had poo marks from the previous guests (disgusting!!) and there were dried blood drops around the light switch in the bathroom. There are better hotels for the same prices and less, avoid this hotel from hell.

Me and my partner decided to stay here for the weekend and I couldn’t fault the place. Ronnie at reception was so polite and helpful, I’ve never had a better welcome. The room was lovely, airy and clean and I slept like a baby. Definitely recommend and will be coming back here with family , thank you again !

Booked for one night, two rooms as stopover on the way to the visiting family, from the website and pictures, you expect a certain level of standard. Both rooms were on the 2nd floor, up 2 sets of narrow stairs. (no lift) My father is 83 and not able to walk far, bur we had no option to climb. Rooms were not the same or matched those on the website, my room was basic, very! No bedside table, or lamp. bed pushed into the corner of the room. There was a constant smell of Cannabis (weed) and noise, woken at 2:45 by the people in the room next door. Rooms were clean, and a good shower. Only reason we stayed, and the fact there wasn't much option the area! Id not want to stop here again. and nor recommend others to

Friendly staff , clean rooms and close to High Wycombe town centre. Ronnie, Mohammed and the other staff members were always very helpful. As stated the rooms were very clean and their is a local shop and pub just 150-200 metres away. Ronnie was not only charming but very kind and helpful indeed.

Room Tip: Room 2 at 156, to the right of the two entrances, was on the ground floor and easy to access.
