The trip is a bumpy ride but luckily the stay especially the staff really helps us and created the the most pleasant memories. It has been some drama about the booking issues, but luckily the staff Sandra tried hard to resolve the issue and we managed to stick to the plan. The dinner service staff also is friendly and helpful. For the meal we ordered for my kids, they are really delicious, and there was some technical fault in the till register and Jackie and Sinead addressed and rectify instantly. Even better they gave us a small treat for my kids. The room is okay, the location is in the high street, but the real shine is the bar and the friendly staff that counts
Great stay again , spotless clean room, good choice at the bar and very friendly service from staff at reception and bar, nothing was too much trouble for them which makes our stay very comfortable , huge thanks to Alice , Martyna and Jaclyn , and also houskeeping team , all of them were very polite.
Waited ages to check in as no one was at the reception desk, and there was a queue. Sign up saying that the member of staff was working elsewhere in the hotel with a phone number to ring - phone number didn’t work. So after a long wait to check in, we get our room key - really great customer service friendly and polite. Went to go up to our room and the key card wouldn’t work so had to go back downstairs to the desk - this time the lady come back up with us to make sure that the card worked and so we wernt having to go back downstairs and wait for a member of staff to appear again. The Room was soo soo hot we stayed on the 5th floor - window only opens slightly due to safety reasons which is understandable, however doesn’t let any decent amount of air in. Other people we spoke to also said there rooms were like saunas. The duvet kept coming out the cover looked like it was ripped, the plug kept getting stuck in the sink when you went to drain the water. There was a “pubic hair” in the bottom of the shower tray, and when having a shower due to the gap between the bottom of the shower curtain and shower tray - the bathroom floor literally floods like a swimming pool. The remote control for the tv was caped in dirt that was obviously visible. I don’t expect the ritz especially for the price but wasn’t a very comfortable stay or experience. Wouldn’t stay here again unfortunately.…
For starters, the room definitely wasn’t worth £69. Not even worth £60. It was shocking. The bed sheets were awful. The duvet isn’t a proper duvet and the cover is open so the duvet keeps coming out and you wake up cold in the night! The toilet door wouldn’t shut at all. I don’t mean locking, I mean shutting! So we had to put something against the door to shut it. The remote control for the tv had no back to it so the batteries kept flying out everywhere🙄 huge stain on the carpet. Also, not much toilet roll. Had to ask for more. Minor inconvenience but still. Should check it’s fully stocked when new people arrive. Will NEVER be staying at a travelodge again.
Had a great stay, needed to stay very close to where we were going. It's in the centre of everything and within walking distance of centre of High Wicombe town Staff were great even when I had to phone with query even before we booked into the hotel. Comfortable stay and well fed in the morning.
Great sized rooms, plenty of usb and normal plug sockets in the room. Friendly staff with quick check in and nice tasting breakfast. Hotel is situated in a good location with access to shops and food stores but due to late service in onsite restaurant no need to go out for food.
After checking in around half-past midnight on a Friday night (the last weekend in April 2022), I was given a room on the second floor at the back of the hotel, and got a good night's sleep. I noticed when first entering the room that the door was heavy, and you have to push quite hard to open it. The room temperature was fine, not too warm, and the quilt wasn't a heavy one, so I didn't overheat during the night. In the morning I went to reception and asked where High Wycombe's parish church was, as I wanted to visit it. The receptionist told me "It's in the town centre." When I asked where in the town centre it was, she said "Turn left out of the door, then left again, and you're in the town centre." Apparently its exact location is a secret and I was expected to walk round the town centre looking for it. Specific directions would have been more helpful than a vague response. After that I didn't bother going to reception again, in case they were all as unhelpful. Saturday night was plain awful - a door, or doors, in the corridor outside my room was banging shut half the night, each time waking me up. Eventually I looked to see what the time was - just after 3 a.m., at which point I put earplugs in. They didn't have much effect, as twice I heard a door bang shut after that, but then wasn't woken again. In the morning I noticed that the two adjoining rooms across the corridor from my room (212) both had 'Do Not Disturb' signs outside, and I can only think that the occupants of those two rooms were moving from room to room during the night. Perhaps one family in the two rooms? I didn't speak to Reception about the noise as I had no confidence in any competence from the staff, and I couldn't identify who was allowing the doors to swing shut unless I'd stood in the corridor and watched. The problem is the heavy doors to the rooms which, when allowed to swing shut, hit the door frame hard. Who's the genius who thought that would be a good idea in a hotel? Very disappointing, I'd had a good opinion of staying in Travelodge hotels until this.…
The staff is very friendly and always happy to help, rooms are clean and can get a good nights sleep, nice selection for breakfast and dinner and the food is cooked well, no complaints, would definitely stay here again
The friendly staff are happy to sort any problem I may come across. The rooms are nice size and cleaned on a regular basis. The bathrooms are immaculate. Always have a 10/10 stay at whatever travelodge we go to.
Tahsin on reception/bar helped us out no end. Great hotel Need to organise room service if staying longer than 1 night as we were there for 4 days and never got serviced Handy bar open to 05:00 which was a godsend when working late hours
