Years ago a THF hotel, very recently reopened as a Wetherspoons hotel. Excellent quiet really clean comfortable room on top floor, shame we missed the breakfasts - on arrival we were told it only started at 0800, on the second morning saw plates being cleaned up as we were leaving at 0800, shame. Very good value, perfect situation, right on...

Stayed here a couple of weeks after the hotel had opened - the furnishings were new and you could still smell the paint ! Very comfortable spacious room with electric blinds for the sky lights. Excellent bathroom and a very comfortable bed, Enjoyed the cooked breakfast at 7AM in front of a real fire in the back bar. Will definitely...

Good room, walk in shower (in some rooms) baths in others we were told. A very new addition to the Wetherspoons Hotel range. Food, as always, very good. Staff almost without exception are helpful and pleasant. The Bell is right in the centre of town, a two minute walk to the bus station and approximately 4 minutes walk to the...

Great location in the middle of town. Good reception from female manager and waitress. Male bar staff less obliging and slightly surly. Pleased with the room and bathroom. TV not connected to channels but not a problem. Iron and ironing board a bonus. Only downside was a lot of early morning noise from doors banging downstairs in the bar? Cleaners...

Met with old friends on a Saturday afternoon. We all thoroughly enjoyed Haggis, Neeps and Tatties which is on the menu for a week over Burns celebrations, together with the odd glass of Glenmorangie. And Macsween Haggis to boot, one of if not the best Haggis on the market. Well done Wetherspoons.

Friendly and inviting the open fire place gives the pub a warm feel. The food is mediocre but great if you just want to line your stomach. The pub has just reopened after a fresh lick of paint and refurb would recommend staying here due to its close proximity to the theatre.

Total up to the standard I expect from Wetherspoons. Food was served hot and well cooked. We went here for a pre theatre meal as The White Hart gets busy and if you have a sweet it takes ages to come. No problem here however it took 10 minutes for the sweets to come. Well done!

I always enjoy a visit to The Bell to catch up With friends and family. It is such a nice Friendly pub with a great atmosphere. It is nice to go somewhere where you can hear yourselves rather than having to shout over loud music. The food is always good value and very quick so is ideal if you are...

Great service Great food Great location Great prices Love this pub! Very friendly staff and right in the middle of town so handy for the train station and the bus with taxis right outside the front door. Looks out onto the market square so you can watch the world go by over a drink! Give it a try!
