My only problem was being charged £20 to use the parking. There was no mention of this before booking. It is deceptive to offer good value rooms - if you then charge £20 for parking. This should be mentioned at the point of booking.

Dear mrjcook, Thank you for taking the time to taking the time to leave a review following your recent stay with us here at the Hampton by Hilton Bristol City Centre. Firstly, I am pleased that you found our hotel to be great with good value rooms however I am disappointed that you have scored our hotel so poorly based on the cost of the NCP parking tariff. Sadly, as a city centre hotel which does not have it's own car parking facilities; we can only offer our guests the discounts which are made available to us by NCP. All booking websites indicate that parking is available with charges applicable. I have shared your comments with the NCP regional team. Regards Mark Swistek Deputy General Manager

I have just returned home from a 4 day break and was very impressed. The price was very competitive, our twin room faced onto a busy main road but there was no noticable road noise. Our bedroom was comfortable with air conditioning that actually worked and could be changed manually. The bathroom was larger than most with an excellent shower. The breakfast was included in the price and was perfectly adequate considering the restrictions that are in place during these unusual timesThe hotel was very clean and all nessasary covid measures were in place. The hotel is not situated in the most attractive partmof Bristol but is very central, only a 5 minute walk to Cabot Circus shopping centre which has a good array of shops and restaurants and is also only a 15 minute walk to the riverfront/old town area which has numerous attractions...I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone staying in Bristol.

We stayed here for 2 nights for a weekend in Bristol. Ideal location being in the city centre. We had read the earlier reviews and was expecting a brown paper bag with our breakfast in it, however there is now a buffet breakfast with cereal, toast and some cooked items available. We thought this was done well given covid restrictions. Rooms are standard - what you would expect staying at a large chain hotel. We didn't have any issues with cleanliness. There was a bit of noise from the road, but this quietened down overnight and nothing more than you would expect being in a city centre location. There is no parking at this hotel, there is an NCP car park next door/underneath and you are able to get 25% off parking if staying at hotel, however we found a website called justpark.com and found an individual garage with a key fob and automatic door a 2 minute walk from the hotel which was £15 cheaper for the weekend than what we would have paid with discount at the NCP. So definitely advise looking around for other options re parking.

I am a silver member with Hilton and have work for Hilton for over a year and I’m let down by the room. They clearly haven’t checked to ensure rooms met the Hilton standard. When I walked in the curtain was covered in yogurt... the bathroom door lock was broken, the mirrors hadn’t been cleaned, broken lights and the curtain was broken and torn. The staff were lovely the service was lovely breakfast lovely. When I went down to ask for thin they couldn’t be any mor accommodating. Just the attention to detail In the rooms need to be improved.

Dear MissLD59, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts following your recent stay with us here at the Hampton by Hilton Bristol City Centre hotel. Firstly, I can only apologise for the issues you found with your room. I can assure you that this is certainly not the standard we strive for and I have shared your comments with both our Maintenance team and Housekeeping Manager for review and investigation. As a fellow team member, I am sure you appreciate that from time to time, mistakes can happen but I do hope that you gave us the opportunity to resolve the problem for you by reporting it to a member of our front desk team during your stay. On the positive, it is great to read that you found our complimentary Hampton breakfast to be lovely as you did the service from our hotel team. We do hope that your recent experience would not deter you from choosing to stay with us again at some point in the not so distant future. Regards Mark HJ Swistek Deputy General Manager
