The regency is well situated in the attractive Clifton part of the city. My deluxe room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and modern bathroom. Reception was friendly and efficient and parking was free after 6.00 pm. The continental breakfast at £7.95 was very poor value with very limited items available to select from.

We stayed here on thurs and fri as we were looking after a sick relative and could not be more pleased with the room and hospitality we encountered. We had a lovely warm welcome from Praveen and she was lovely and helpful throught our stay we chatted to each time we were in Reception. The decor as you enter the... More

I was visiting Bristol for a conference at the university and, after two days, switched from a four-star hotel to the Regency Bristol Hotel because of price. I'm so happy I did as the Regency, in my opinion, is a far nicer hotel. First, the staff at the hotel are wonderful. Specifically, the dark-haired woman at the front desk, as... More

I was in Bristol for a conference, and chose this hotel for price and location. It served it's purpose well, being a short walk from many points of interest. I had a simple but clean and comfortable room, and the WIFI was good. Ticked all the boxes for a budget hotel.

Tried to cancel my last nights stay here as travel plans changed. Was informed that as my booking had already commenced even though I was cancelling with 48 hours notice that it wasn't possible as it was considered part of one booking. Nowhere in booking this or email is this ever mentioned. Shoddy and money grabbing. Noisy rooms. Bathroom water... More

The hotel is situated close to the University so in case you are visiting it and are looking for a relatively low-priced stay in Bristol this place is fine. The manager and staff were very kind, very wiling to help and to give directions and suggestions. The room was a bit disappointing since it was on the basement, small and... More

For a small hotel, I was very happy with all that I experienced. Was able to park on the hotel forecourt; had a ground floor room at the back with a private enclosed 'terrace' (Room 433) and en suite bathroom; bed reasonably comfortable (I am used to quite a hard mattress :)); bedroom and bathroom high standard of cleanliness. Prompt... More

I just returned from the UK where I spent one week at the Regency. It was my second visit to the hotel, so obviously something made me return and give it a "second chance". However, I certainly will never stay there again. The PROS: location is right off of Whiteladies road, which has loads of shops, pubs, restaurants and is... More

This Hotel has the best manager I have ever met. He could write a book about good customer service. Welcoming, friendly, smiling, anticipating my needs, doing everything he could to make my stay as good as possible. Thank you very much Francis. And for making a precious listed building with all the hotel difficulties that listed status gives, so very... More

Stayed here while up for visiting for work recently. The hotels location was practical. No questions regarding the stay on check out, and I think interrupted the receptionists breakfast when I checked out. the room was awful, very very small and not laid out well. Terrible shower with no power. The bed, not comfortable, and it had a plastic, maybe... More
