It's everything you'd expect from a modern, city-centre hotel so the difference would always lie in the service you'd receive. We've no complaints about the room although its dark blue decor and blackout curtains did make it rather dark. The breaksfast buffet was most comprehensive and of an excellent standard.

What was slightly disappointing was the detached and unconcerned attitude of some of the staff in the breakfast room: my wife currently uses crutches and THREE members of staff ignored her obvious need for assistance as she struggled to carry her breakfast from the buffet to our table. Indeed, she also noted that one particularly withdrawn staffer insisted on trying to clear our table, even though she hadn't actually finished! Add to this that spillages on the floor stayed where they were and at least one staff member spent working time just scrolling on his phone and you'll get an idea of one area of service that could be improved. Itshould be noted that the hotel doesn't have its own car park but does provide a discount to those using the nearby open-air car park. The room service menu offers dishes which appear to be appetising but disappoint with their lack of flavour whilst being over-priced.

Overall, it was a worthwhile experience but I won't be rushing back.

Dear H0telinspect0r10, Many thanks for staying recently and thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We appreciate your feedback, and we’re pleased to hear that you were satisfied with the room and breakfast buffet. It’s great to know that the food quality met your expectations. However, we sincerely apologise for the issues you encountered with the service, particularly in the breakfast room. This is certainly not the level of care we aim to provide, especially when guests have specific needs. I’m truly sorry that your wife didn’t receive the assistance she needed, and I’ll ensure that your comments are shared with our team so we can improve staff attentiveness and training moving forward. Additionally, I regret that you experienced delays in cleaning up spillages and felt that one of our team members was disengaged. This is not the level of service we strive for, and we’ll address it internally. We also appreciate your comments regarding the room service menu and will look into improving the overall value and flavor of the dishes we offer. We would love to have you around again in the future when it suits you the most! Best regards, Manol Customer Experience Team.

I LOVED everything about this hotel! The attention to detail in every aspect - from practicality, cleanliness and comfort, or customer service quality to aesthetics, decor, fittings and style -, is exceptional. I rarely get so enthusiastic about a hotel, but Leonardo City in Bristol surely impressed me! On my very short stay (just one night in December 2024), I found the hotel to be immaculate and very well presented. Every little "touch" seems well thought through. What I appreciated: • the location in the city center, and not far from the train station • the bed was a dream to sleep in - very fresh linen, supremely comfortable mattress • floor to ceiling curtains that allow for total "blackout" • very good sound insulation • fully room-customisable air conditioning/ heating system • Iron and ironing board in the wardrobe • ergonomical and silent fridge, safety box and the well stocked tea& coffee 'kettle station' • the multi-angle bedside lamps • the comfortable armchair and table for laptop etc. work • the generous number of electric sockets throughout the room • the spacious room and bathroom • the generous shower space • the superb cleanliness everywhere in the hotel • the buffet breakfast's delicious, diverse and high quality menu offerings • the service with a smile from all members of staff Needless to say, if/ when the need arises, I'll return to this wonderful hotel without hesitation.
I am quite a fussy traveller, but frankly there is nothing I can think of that I didn't like at Leonardo's in Bristol! These guys know what they're doing! ;-) Thank you for this experience, keep up the great work!

We looked at lots of hotels in the city area to try and get a good combination of quality, price, parking and walking distance to the city centre. You can't go far wrong with the Leonardo. We parked in a public car park just behind the hotel and it was less 5 minutes walk and we also got our car park disc validated to get a discount.
The room was modern and functional with a great shower. The staff were friendly and approachable.
Finally the breakfast was very tasty with good quality ingredients and the staff were also cheerful and efficient.
A short walk to the riverside and town centre this Is a great hotel to use as a base for exploring the city.
We will be back!

When we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff at a busy desk so waited a little while to check in. We were told we had an upgrade, but we had paid £237 so from what we could tell had booked the best room available already which was a little confusing.

The hotel and room were very clean and modern. However for the price and apparent upgrade to the best room it wasn’t very impressive. Yes there was a huge bed and some free snacks and drinks, the space in the room was dreadful. You could just get around the bed, couldn’t open the cupboards all the way because of the bed. The lighting is so bad and I guess due to being on the 8th floor there are no windows to open even a crack making it very hot and stuffy. This all culminated to create an unpleasant cramped feeling. Being winter the air-con was not functioning so we had no way to cool the room down.

The bathroom is very nice and was really clean. The toiletry items were very comprehensive. They also have a handy little shop downstairs for anything you’ve forgotten which is a nice touch. Sadly our bathroom (room 801) didn’t have a functioning extractor fan so that was rather unpleasant.

The room is nice and quiet. Sadly the bed though comfortable was very noisy and moved a lot when someone rolled over. With the very hot stuffy atmosphere, the overly heavy crispy feeling duvet and the wobbling noisy bed, we didn’t sleep well at all.

We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was fine. I had steak frites and my steak was overdone (no pink at all) but tasted fine. My husband enjoyed his burger and the chips were good. The waiting staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was rather disappointing and if you like me check out the breakfast buffet pics before booking you’ll be unhappy with the reality.

Over all I wouldn’t stay here again. For the price it’s just not offering enough quality wise compared to others we’ve stayed in within this price bracket.

Dear Kayteals, Many thanks for staying recently and thank you for taking the time to leave a review. While we're delighted to hear that you found our staff friendly and welcoming, as well as the hotel clean and modern, we’re truly sorry that some aspects of your stay fell short of expectations. We appreciate your comments about the room. While we aim to provide a premium experience, we're sorry to hear the layout and atmosphere didn’t meet your expectations. For safety reasons, our windows are designed not to open, and we encourage guests to adjust the room temperature using the climate control, which we have confirmed is fully operational. We have also checked the bathroom extractor fan and confirmed that it runs silently and continuously. Your feedback about the bed and duvet will be shared with our team as we continually look for ways to enhance guest comfort. We regret that your dining experience was less than ideal and will review your comments with our kitchen team to ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation. We understand your disappointment, especially given the high expectations that come with a special stay. While it’s disappointing to hear you wouldn’t consider staying with us again, we genuinely value your feedback as it helps us improve. Should you decide to return, we would love the opportunity to provide a better experience. We would love to have you around again in the future when it suits you the most! Best regards, Manol Customer Experience Team.

Stayed here for one night in November while visiting Bristol. The hotel is in a great location, being less than 10 mins walk from Bristol Temple Meads train station and close to the heart of the city. We couldn't fault our stay at the hotel, it's very modern with a smooth check in process. The bed in our room was very comfortable and the room came with all the amenities you'd expect. If we visited again we'd definitely stay here once more

Avoid! This place is absolutely filthy and a hazard for anyone with allergies.
After complaining how disgusting our room was we got moved to yet another dirty room even after 2 managers had checked it. Clearly cleaning is a difficulty here so decided not to move to room 3 and enjoy the weekend.
Laughing and joking aside with them this place is seriously disgusting! Under the beds, top of pictures, and skirting is caked in dust. The public areas are just as bad! All skirting filthy with broken plant pot in reception.
Flavoured water in reception is not changed daily and rarely topped up.
General manager will no doubt write back to this with a load of nonsense! Steve you know the hygiene is seriouse casue for concern as you don't have many house keeping staff or a public area cleaner. No excuse to be honest but I'm sure you will respond twisting the situation!

Stayed here last weekend, it is a clean and very comfortable hotel within a close walk of the city centre and a short walk to the river, where you can either enjoy a walk along the riverside to the historic docks and the SS Great Britain or catch the little ferry. We had a drink in the bar in the evening and was very impressed by the service buy the chap behind the bar who was teaching two younger staff how to make the drink my wife wanted. The car park (we used the open-air one) not part of the hotel is also a short walk away and you get a discount. Breakfast was also very nice. Altogether a very nice hotel.

Tucked away in a small quiet courtyard area of Bristol, 5 mins walk from Bristol Temple Meads train station is the lovely new Leonardo Bristol Hotel. On arriving we were met by two of the best reception team members, who had us laughing before we got to our room. We checked in on line but the reception team made our arrival memorable, nothing ws too much trouble.

As we arrived earlier than expected the room booked was not availble, bit we were delighted to be offered an upgrade...perfect thank you all so much.

The room on the 8th floor had fabulous views from two large windows. The room was really well appointed, the bathroom was superb too with an extra large shower, and two shower head sone standard the other a rainfall shower head type and toiletries provided too .

The room had everything needed coffee machine, tea and hot chocolate, hairdryer, and a lovely large TV. The person who designed this room also ladies have put a socket by the mirror making it easy to dry your hair , infact there a loads of sockets and usp ports. A beautiful chair with foot stool, and seperate seat, good workstation too.

The bed is large and so so comfy, there actually is nothing to be negative about. There is a loungeseating area and seats outside the hotel for a cheeky beer or two. The bar is well stocked.
Breakfast was a buffet self service type, replenished quickly and hot from toast.croissants, to full english, and pastries, in fact a huge choice, tables were cleared quickly too.

I would certainly put this hotel at the top of my rebook list. Well Done everyone Leonardo Bristol.

The hotel was nice, clean and isn’t to far from the centre of the city. Check in was really easy. The room was a decent size over all and served it’s purpose. There is no parking at the hotel but there is an NCP car park which we used that is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The car park is really secure and with the hotels discount it costs £14 for the day/night, there is also an open air car park that is literally opposite the hotel. There is a drop off point through the arch way at the hotel so you can drop your bags off and then go park up then walk back with out having to drag your suit case along with you. Overall I would recommend this hotel

Dear Dan Thank you for providing a review following your recent stay with us in Bristol. I am so pleased to learn that you enjoyed your stay and you would recommend our hotel to others. As mentioned, we do not have our own car park. We have a drop off area adjacent to the hotel, however the car park opposite us is private and should not be used by hotel guests. We have negotiated a discount with two local car parks with information on these on our website. Thank you once again for your review and I do hope that we can welcome you again soon. Fabulous 3 night stay, hotel was amazing, spotlessly clean, room was lovely, had a massive shower, fridge, safe, hospitality tray and large screen tv plus aircon which was much needed as the weather has been beautiful. Breakfast was delicious, huge selection of hot buffet, pastries, breads, bagels, fruit, meat, cheese, cereals, yogurts and drinks. Only little negative was the pillows which were rock hard, apart from that bed was very comfortable. The hotel is perfectly located in the centre of Bristol, only a short walk from the shops, bars and train station. Parking is available on a secure car park less than 3 minutes walk away with discounted parking rates available at the hotel. We would definitely stay again if we came back to Bristol and would definitely use this chain of hotels in other cities too
