We stayed here while seeing our daughter off to Bristol University. Its in a quiet suburb with a pleasant traditional pub nearby for an evening stroll. In the morning after a very well cooked breakfast we enjoyed the pleasant garden and fish pond, before walking to look at the nearby Blaise Hamlet, about 3 minutes walk away. Our room was comfortable and we enjoyed... More

We stayed for one night only over the Bank holiday weekend. I has booked directly and so had the chance to make a request for a quiet room. On arrival, our booking requests had been noted and we were shown to a quiet room, facing the courtyard at the side/rear. It was perfect. The bathroom had obviously recently been updated... More

Stayed here two nights with friends. We had large spacious rooms of the third floor - which were well appointed and spotlessly clean. The hotel, while on the outskirts of Bristol, is on a regular bus route in and out of the city - so you can leave your car in the car park. All the staff were extremely friendly... More

We had a one night stay at the weekend, so the restaurant was not open in the evening. Local options in walking distance are not great, Toby Carvery or a few take-aways / a balti house (mostly serving take away / deliveries). The accommodation is in a lovely old house. The room was spacious and clear, with a large bathroom... More

We stayed two nights at the hotel to attend a wedding in the city. Our room was upstairs in the annexe and was very comfortable and well appointed. A lovely ensuite bathroom was attached which also contained a surprisingly large built-in wardrobe, although with a low hanging rail, full length dresses or coats might be a problem. These rooms are... More

We stayed here for a family wedding just five minutes away. Reviews were great so we weren't worried but as a very fussy guest, I'm always a little apprehensive. Expectations were surpassed in every way. The room was spotless and the bathroom modern and attractive. Breakfast was delicious with home-made jams and high quality produce and the gardens just the... More

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for one evening at an extremely reasonable £69 for B&B. The lady on Reception was very professional, warm and friendly - and was willing to please throughout our stay. The grounds are charming and breakfast was splendid. The hotel is situated in the old part of Henbury, which means we were just... More

Stayed two nights. Staff were lovely. We had the restaurant to ourselves on the Friday night as all other guests were from a wedding party and were out together. Breakfast first rate. Food well presented. Lovely garden (we didn't get to enjoy as it rained most of the time). Good centre for touring the area. Went to Bath and Cheddar... More
