Good value hotel with pleasant and clean rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is fine. The food in the pub is reasonable pub grub affair and it has a lovely beer-garden. Would recommend.

Me and my partner fancied a pint of cider outside in the sun and stumbled across this place. The interior was well decorated but there appeared to be a few uncleared tables both inside and out. Looking past that, we both ordered a pint of thatchers cider (£4.50/pint) which was a bit more than I'd usually pay but nevertheless we...

Channings is a fantastic establishment. The bar staff are always friendly and willing for a chat. Adam, Laura and all the team are incredibly kind and have been tolerant throughout my time at Bristol. The beer garden is a gem- great spot for a summer's evening. What a pub. I'd recommend it to anyone.

We came here for drinks and some food. One particular anti-social Bar Staff member, she ....and also if I may say there's another slightly less anti-social Bar Staff member, she comes a close second to her colleague here also, they both need to seriously improve their customer service skills, no smiles, no 'Hello', how can we help you Sir? No...

I remember not so long ago, when this place was a dive, No longer. It's a good place to drink and to eat and the garden is divine even though, it has to be said, it is still a pub garden but as pub gardens go, it's attractive and some might say, very attractive. This is a stone built substantial...

We are local to the area and went to Channings for a couple of drinks and dinner. An ok setting, but the food was some of the worst I've ever had in a pub / hotel. Over priced and over cooked. We suspected that one of the meals was just a reheated ready meal. I was shocked that the chef...

Drinks were great and reasonably priced, with lovely staff. However, I then ordered a Hunters Chicken. The chicken breast was swimming/drowning in a dish of shop bought BBQ sauce, the chips were average and it was served with a minuscule dollop of coleslaw. I have had better meals for half the price at Premier Inn. If you were thinking of...

We went for what started as drinks, then became food and drinks. I wish it had remained as drinks. The caesar flatbread is so flat it's actually a wrap, complete with barbecue sauce (?). It was a very expensive experience. Just drinks next time.

If you are looking for somewhere to stay for your night out in Clifton, or visiting friends in Clifton, this is always the place I would recommend - and that has been true for the last ten years, well done Channings. The rooms (especially the bathrooms) are basic but have everything you need, access is 24/7, the pub downstairs is...

Was a little concerned about the lack of parking but road outside is free between 5pm and 9am so great for a business stay. Rooms were not exceptional but perfectly clean and comfortable, I also had one of the best mixed grills I have had in ages along with a great breakfast in the morning. Well worth the money also...
