This is mine and my husband's second stay at number Thirty Eight. Our 1st stay was on our wedding night and our 2nd stay was our 1st anniversary. We stayed in the luxury West suite. And wow. What a stunning room. Excellent decor and a stunning view of the city from the bathroom window and the front windows over looking... More

What a great hotel! Checked in and were shown to our fab room with a view over Bristol. I loved having a roll top bath and the lovely REN toiletries complimented it as such. It was great to walk in and have the radio playing classic fm. Tv struggled with bbc 1, but who cares when you are somewhere that... More

A great find! A lovely room, the bathroom was huge and everywhere was spotlessly clean. A well stocked mini bar at reasonable prices. The breakfast was brilliant, I had the crispy bacon and avocado very tasty! Will stay here again next time in Bristol.

A really special place to stay. The rooms (especially the top floor lofts) are truly lovely, well decorated and fitted out with lots of space. The staff are very helpful and the breakfast must not be missed - take the time to make sure you can take it!

This is a luxury B&B in Bristol, formally a 19th-century Georgian merchant’s house, offering beautifully designed rooms and a choice of either panoramic views over Bristol or at the front you can have trees and the Clifton Downs. We were warmly welcomed by the owner to a small reception area( primarily on a lacquered Chinese chest of drawers) in one... More

This is a terrific place to stay, with lovely rooms stylishly decorated, and staff who are helpful and courteous. The breakfast were wonderful, the bed fantastically comfortable, and there were thoughtful little details in the room such as lots of hooks, good quality magazines and fresh milk for the nice tea bags. No. 38 is a very attractive house with... More

We booked all but one room for my recent wedding. Such a treat! The rooms are wonderful & beautifully furnished. Clean, bright, comfortable & quiet. The toiletries also very nice! Breakfast was one of the best, seriously. This hotel is excellent value for money when you consider the quality on offer. If you're visiting Bristol - treat yourself.

Ok, there is no bar, no pool and the lounge area is closed after 8pm but you don't book No 38 if you want these facilities. What you do get is a very high standard room with a mini bar that is not over priced, a superb freshly cooked breakfast and all for a very good price. I will definitely... More

Stylish, attractive and very comfortable place to stay, close to Clifton and within easy reach of Bristol. A lovely old house which has been given a modern twist. Spacious rooms with good bed and quality linen. Couple of nice dining rooms serving stylish, very well cooked and interesting breakfasts. Highly recommended.
