i absolutely loved this hotel. Rooms were large and luxurious and the location was perfect; close to all the necessary amenities but at a safe distance from the hustle and bustle of the center. Staff were friendly and professional. The food served at the restaurant was very nice and the complementary breakfast was quite excellent. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

the hotel charges extra for a river view. river view rooms face a bar on a barge which plays loud music and has guest shouting at night. the decor of the hotel is strange and very tired. bathrooms are old. common spaces are unimpressive. go for a different hotel!

I've stayed here a few times over the past 5 years or so and will probably do so again. The rooms are fine; a good size and everything you need. The location is good, opposite one of the inner harbour wharves (Welsh Back) and so plenty of choices for eating nearby. Bar is Ok. There are 2 lifts but they... More

This is a lovely hotel, the rooms are nice, corridors and lift a bit rough around the edges but the rooms are not. Bar and breakfast area lovely & full english with plenty of selection served every morning. Chocolates on arrival in room for my partners birthday, nice touch! Staff friendly. Excellent location for bar scene, surrounded with lots of... More

Stayed for one night en route from Bristol Airport. Arrived late to a warm welcome from reception staff and made our way to our "quiet" room on 3rd floor ...... this is where things start going down hill unfortunately! Had evening meal in restaurant which was fine (except the waitress couldn't tell us what sort of curry we were going... More

Stayed here again and noticed a few differences: Reception was good as usual. Room was clean but the practice of giving a few biscuits by the tea/coffee facilities has apparently been stopped. Pity when you have just flown in and just want to kill the hunger for a while before dinner. When I entered the restaurant for breakfast the lady... More

I stayed here during my first trip to Bristol, its next to the waterside and easy to find me, despite there being a few Mercure hotels. Its a comfortable hotel and close to the centre of Bristol near the 'Old City' which is very historical. My room was comfortable and quiet with a great shower.

Nice clean rooms that are well kept. Breakfast is ok not the hottest but they will cook fresh if requested. I stop here quite often on business as the price is reasonable for what you get. However the food in the restaurant on an evening I have found to be consistently bad in many ways. Slow service, wrong orders, cold... More

We have recently returned from a 2 night visit after settling our son into University. A really pleasant hotel, with very nicely decorated rooms, modern and comfortable. The bathroom was well appointed with a bath (+TV) and separate walk-in shower. We found everything lovely and clean, and I'm fussy!! Our room was on the 3rd floor overlooking the river, not... More

We stayed for one night on our trip to Devon. We haven't no chance but we booked this hotel. As it has been very busy weekend and all the higher standard hotels has been fully booked. The reason dog friendly hotel. No problem with the dogs. The hotel needs a lot of decorating attention over the places. It looks like... More
