We booked 3 nights here but only stayed 1 (with 1 night refunded) because we found the neighborhood and the ambiance pretty depressing. The greeting (if we can even call it that) was cold and included the minimum amount of interaction possible, no small talk, no smiles. Breakfast the next morning was over before 9 o'clock leaving us only the... More

A nice, clean, basic bnb. Rooms were clean. There's off road parking, and free WiFi. The continental breakfast was a bit cheap. Awful pastries {from the pound shop?} Great on a budget though. Yes... I would stay again.

Due to the Glastonbury festival, rooms in Bristol were quite scarce on Tuesday. Got a room at the Malago via booking.com, as it was one of the last few available. It was a little strange to arrive a a 'hotel' that's reception/office was in a disabled toilet! But to be fair, even though the room I got on the second... More

Perfect for one night away in Bristol while I attended a course. Small bedroom for one but much more than I expected for a B&B. Comfortable bed. Fantastic shower. Clean towels. Free wifi. TV. Hairdryer. The only downside was that the room was rather warm, even with the window open (but it was a muggy day). Biggest surprise and delight... More

Firstly, the good points. The place was very clean and tidy and bathrooms were very nice and modern. There were no issues with noise and couldn't hear the guests in the rooms either side which is always good. However the stay was far from perfect with minor issues that added up. We arrived about 9pm after a last minute booking,... More

Stayed here just the one night. Fairly easy to find, does have limited off street parking. Very clean and tidy, staff helpful. Recently re-furbished so everything in good order. Continental breakfast good, I enjoyed the ham and eggs particularly! Would definitely recommend this place.

my friends and I stayed here for the weekend due to its proximity to Bristol city and ashton court which had parking. we were visiting to attend the Lets rock festival. firstly there were not a lot of parking spaces for the 21 rooms but we were lucky to get a space. rooms were bland and soulless but functual.it had... This is a modern budget bed and breakfast hotel, built on the site of a much older pub, the Red Cow. Fascinating urban history, with 19th century Malago Vale Coal Mine behind it. Finding out about the history, some good info provided, puts the building and area in context. West Street is a Roman Road and Bedminster was a much earlier... More

We discovered this B & B while looking online for somewhere to stay on our route into Bristol. We were impressed with the reviews and it seemed to be good value compared to other accommodation in the area. It was a very good choice. The staff here are friendly and helpful, the rooms are bright, clean and comfortable. The eating... More

Clean double ensuite - perfectly seriviceable. I was a bit worried about the 'continenal' breakfast but there was a huge choice including scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, fruit, yoghurt, pastries and probably more! Only downside was the noise from the ironworks in the road outside as traffic passed over a wobbly drain cover - not the fault of the accommodation but... More
