An excellent stay, with exceptional staff and service during our stay. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean & had stunning view of Pero’s bridge, the waterfront across to the Cathedral. The hotel is adjacent to the NCP car park - car registration & payment can be made at reception. The restaurant looks over the waterfront and has an extensive menu. A great stay; we will be back!

Just back from an amazing weekend in Bristol celebrating my birthday. Had a fantastic room on the 6th floor overlooking Pero's Bridge and the city beyond, really clean, loads of space and a really comfortable bed. What made it extra special was coming back to find a card and a bottle of red wine from the housekeeping team wishing me a Happy Birthday. Got another card and an extra birthday dessert too at dinner (see photo.) Having a lovely restaurant (River Grille) and a superb bar (Rick's) as well made it a pretty much perfect stay and we'll return for sure!

Likes, staff are professional, polite, attentive but not over bearing. Very clean and well presented hotel throughout. Dislikes, quality of the food was poor for the price. Burrata was a watery buffalo mozzarella, with tasteless tomatoes. Ribeye was cooked rare in most parts of the meat making the fat just chewy. Bernese sauce and chips were nice though. Chocolate fondant was stone cold in the middle but the ice cream was nice! If you are going to charge too rate for your food, please make sure the standard matches. Breakfast was not much better. The room was cosy! Or should I say extremely compact and near claustrophobic. If you wish to plonk your bottom on the toilet that is wedged between the Bath and the wall, make sure you are close to a size zero! First time back to the The Bristol in a while but may look around next time I stay in Bristol.

The overall stay was average, but the only reason I gave 4 stars is the fact that they had an EU power plug in the room. The room itself was clean, bed was comfy but a lot of outside nois came in though - they were cleaning the streets apparently at 5am which was clearly heard in my room. Breakfast was decent, gym was tiny and the overall location of the hotel is good.

Dear MJyrgen, Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback on your stay. It's good to know that the presence of an EU power plug in the room was a positive aspect for you. However, it's unfortunate that external noise disrupted your rest, especially the early morning street cleaning. A peaceful sleep is crucial for a restful stay. On a positive note, a decent breakfast and a conveniently located hotel are definite advantages. Your input will surely help future travelers make informed decisions. We hope to welcome you back in the near future. Kind regards, Cari Yunis The Bristol

Difficult to get to it but we arrived everything worked very well. Car park next door with linking to hotel. Lovely welcome and got free upgrade because I mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary. Room was could have been a bit more spacious but it all we needed. It was clean and well kept. Receptionist was knowledgeable about local attraction and very helpful. All staff were professional yet friendly. We had a good stay

My husband and I spent a night at The Bristol Hotel and can highly recommend it and the central, riverside location. Everything from the warm welcome at reception, tasteful decor, comfortable, immaculate room, and five-star service at dinner was excellent. We enjoyed the humour of the barman and a delicious dinner. As getting an early morning flight, we unfortunately didn't experience breakfast. However, we plan to return for a weekend. Ann & Tom

Stayed for 2 nights in September 2023. The rooms and public areas are spotless and the staff are lovely. But the room I was in was tiny, for me on my own it was a bit cramped, if I’d been with my partner it would not have been fun. Additionally the soundproofing between the rooms is almost non existent! I was actually woken up by the chap in the next room turning his shower/bath taps on! Genuinely sounded like they were jet washing a Range Rover, I know it was a man because I then heard every word he said whilst FaceTiming his partner and child. Surely when you’re paying a premium rate for a city centre hotel that prides itself on its reputation and awards you shouldn’t be able to hear what your neighbour is doing in the privacy of their own bathroom!
