I stayed at the Bristol hotel for three nights in July. The check-in process itself went smooth. I was however not impressed by the service upon arrival as the receptionist seemed uninterested and weren't very polite. We had booked a Deluxe Double and had requested for a harbour view which we were given. After having read several positive reviews of... More

Zarah was extremely helpful when we first checked in. Our room was always serviced well. However, sometimes items were missing from our room. A good sized room and bathroom. The air conditioner could really do with being serviced and topped up as it wasn't very effective. Breakfast has a fantastic choice of options. However, they are clearly short on cups... More

This was very comfortable and convenient. It's walking distance to almost everywhere around town and there is a frequent bus service that stops right outside. The train station is 15 walk away. There is a bar that is a little bit more than around the corner, but the views are great and the food and service good. The rooms are... More

Poor experience from start to finish. Room not ready on arrival and staff didn't seem to be concerned. Room was small and tired. Air conditioning on the hottest two days of the year couldn't cope and leaked water all over the carpet and ruined a pair of shoes a shirt and tee shirt - again staff whilst apologetic didn't seem... Standard hotel. Pleasant room and public spaces. Breakfast a bit slow due to insufficient staff. OK for a business stop-over, not a place to spend too long. Good location near harbour with its restaurants. A bit overpriced for what it is - my only substantial criticism. DrD

We had one night in Bristol before catching an early plane and chose this hotel because of its ideal, central location. But it also offered a comfortable bar, busy reception area and good restaurant to tide us over since we needed an early night. Bathe rooms are comfortable with views across the river and city. We would come back

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at The Bristol and I hope not the last. We had a great room overlooking the harbour. Although this was a bit noisy at night, it does give you a lovely view. We booked a deluxe double as we enjoy the Nespresso coffee and the robes and slippers provided. Breakfast was really... More

We couldn't fault this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, which sadly was only for one night. The Bristol's great location, by the harbour and close to the theatres and not far from the museum and art gallery, made it the ideal choice for us, enabling us to see and do so much in less than 24 hours. The hotel... More

We stay here often, as it is central for the Old Vic and Hippodrome theatres (both just a few minutes walk) the beautiful Harbour, which last weekend hosted the spectacular Harbour Festival, and there is a big NCP car park next door, with cheap parking for hotel guests. The rooms are excellent (had a superior double again) and the food... More
