Excellent hotel building supremely well kept and with all necessary facilities fully funcitoning. Beyond the aesthetics, I must highlight the high quality of service by the friendly staff. This stood out to me and other companions. Notably Sabrina at front desk who was ever so helpful, friendly and engaging. Additionally, Emmanuella whose attention to detail and anticipating our needs left an indelible mark. Both staff are a reflection of a well run establishment suitable for business and leisure stays. Well done to all.

On arrival received a lovely warm welcome from Anna. On finding out it was my birthday she upgraded our room, which was a lovely surprise and also an offer for complimentary drinks for the Shore Bar. The room was lovely and very comfortable bed. The Templespa products smelt amazing. Breakfast the next day, again we were warmly welcomed and there was a great choice of food.

We went for my partners 30th and the service was impeccable, from Leo at reception who was clear, concise and welcoming to Kasia who went above and beyond in leaving little details that really made a difference to our stay! The room was warm, spacious and comfortable with commanding views of the river and the promenade. The breakfast was a standard buffet with all you needed to start the day and a lovely river view. The hotel is perfectly situated and we enjoyed our walks to the high street and down the river. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return.

Having stayed here previously we were really excited to stay again. The reservations team called ahead to confirm our booking. On arrival I asked for a newspaper in the morning, which never materialised. On arriving at our room, the sanitised sticker demonstrated that someone had been in the room - so I’m not sure what the point of the sticker is? The room was a really well sized room, but there were stains on the carpet and the bathroom had remnants of the previous guests soap or toothpaste on the sink. The room was freezing, despite having the radiator turned up to 24 degrees. We had drinks in the bar, which was lovely. The atmosphere and the pianist were great, as was the service. Check out was hugely disappointing. On asking to check out, I was asked for our room number, and then had my name confirmed. I was asked if I would like the money taken from my card, without any sign of an invoice or asking if we had enjoyed our stay. It felt like I was a cash point. Would we stay again? Yes - on account of the fact that the previous stay was excellent. Fingers crossed this was just a blip.
