Nice friendly staff...rooms clean showers spotless. Luggage room...live music and Bowling alley onsite. City centre location. Breakfast included in price..hairdryer available no extra charge. Washing machine and dryer also
Ok so let's start with the positives: It is in a great location in the city center, it is relatively clean and the showers work. That's about it. Everything else about this place was terrible. There is a nightclub underneath it and it is so loud that your room and the bed you are in will literally shake and vibrate all night until they finally stop playing at 3am. But you still won't be able to sleep at that point because then the bar staff have to smash all the empty bottles afterwards. I get that it is a hostel. If I want good food I'll go to a restaurant. If I want good service I'll go to a hotel. All I wanted was a cheap place to sleep in and they couldn't even provide that (at a price that was triple what I have paid in other bigger cities)
Brilliant place to go on a stag do stayed there 2 nights close to the strip and easy to bring birds back to . Both nights out and pulled on both occasions... just hope the future wife dosent find out .
Absolutely awful. I requested a refund as hostel bookers site didn't state it was a live music venue. They didn't grant it to me. waste of money. Was supposed to be a chilled weekend away in Bristol, but had to seek new accomodation. Nowhere to lock your stuff, one woman I'd spoken to in my dorm had stayed there cause she'd been physically abused by her partner and had a huge cut across her face. It's a really grotty, depressing hostel. Showers smell like pee. Not worth it.
I just don’t recommend this hostel. It’s okay if you want to stay for a night but... that’s all. Good position in the city, and lot of nice people “living there”. Cleaning was... ok. Rooms were cleaned but toilets are another stuff. And if you talk to the right person in reception it’s good cause not all of them are “extremely friendly” and just saying, if you work in a hostel, try to at least be nice to the people who are paying to stay there, if not, then maybe that’s not your type of work, keep searching!
Myself and 2 mates stayed here for 1 night to see a gig in the O2 Academy. Normally I would stay in a Premier Inn or Travelodge, but booking for 3 adults in pone of them requires 2 rooms. We paid £80 (between the 3 of us) for a room to ourselves which had 4 beds (2 bunks). The sheets were clean but there was still empty glasses and bottles of beer/whisky left around the room. It didn't bother us though as we just used the room to sleep, shower in the morning and leave. Staff are friendly, toilets were clean.
You just have to look at the other reviews on here too to see this must be avoided. Dirty rooms, corridors filthy, toilet areas out of order, shower area horrendous, staff rude with a don't give care attitude. This is one of worst places I've stayed in. And don't loose you 10p plastic key card or they will charge you £10 for the privilege. The company, manager and staff should be ashamed of themselves.
As one walks into the rock and bowl motel, a wave on instant regret hits you like a fox having stepped into headlights. You are greeted by a miserable an impolite staff member who marches you to your dormatory. The rooms are poorly insulated and in dire need of work. From the mould on the walls, to the overflowing refuse bins and body hairs and fluids on the bathroom floor, this is a place that truly STINKS. The majority of the motel users are foreign nationals out of work and at a loose end. Whilst this isn't a problem, for a place that advertises itself as a party hostel to meet young people, I feel as though I have been missold PPI insurance. I won't be returning, and would recommend all who come to Bristol, seek an alternative accomodation. The only positives are it's…
I booked 2 beds for myself and a friend. unfortunately, in the meantime, a family member passed away. I called and spoke to a lady on the phone, who told me that they would not consider a refund because I hadn't requested it more than 48 hours before the booking, despite the fact that it appears after cancellation, they have now already filled the beds, and I booked it less than 24 hours before the aforementioned conversation. great customer service. I apologise that the death of my family members don't coincide with your policy, and I'm happy for you that you have managed to receive twice the money due to my bereavement.
stayed for 2 nights the staff were either incompetent or there were very little of them, checking in and out took a long time as one girl didn't seem to understand us or the system, i was given a key card that expired during the night so when i was getting ready to leave i ended up trapped in the key carded areas and had to go outside in my pajamas to find any help at 4 am. the continental breakfast simply a joke, with no toaster and everyone seemed to have left their plates lying for fruit flies to collect.. i have seen cleaner portaloos in festivals than the toilets and showers in the hostel. there were no lockers provided which most hostels do, one of the rooms we stayed in had wire from the ceilings and mold on the ceilings. the walkways looked like they have never been…
