This is a 5 starts hotel comparing with Rock and Bowl hostel (another hostel near this one). Great stay. excellent staff, always available to help. Kitchen available for everybody. Outstanding scenery over the river.

The price is slightly higher than other hostel, yet it is worth you are paying for! The bathroom is cleaner and bigger than i expected. The only bad service is you cannot connect wifi in room, but in lounge.

My first experience of a YHA hostel, after having used many others in the UK and overseas. Impressions generally good. Staff friendly and professional, facilities clean and properly managed. Recreational areas modern and comfirtable and good Wi-Fi. Disbaled access and WC etc. Lift to all floors. The catering at the café-bar stops a little early, in line with the usual...

The dorms are in need of redesign and upkeep. Not particularly clean but has lovely common areas and nice staff. The location is really convenient and beautiful. The USB sockets and reading lights by each bed are handy.

This busy and large hostel is centrally located tight on the harbour. Alas there is no free-parking anywhere near it and Temple Meads railway station is a fair walk away. It is not cheap either. That aside, the staff were polite and efficient, my room was tidy, clean and well-laid out. Inside could do with a massive makeover, the relaxing/t.v....

The YHA is a nice hostel, with basic facilities but to a nicely kept standard. The staff were pleasant and friendly and there was a really calm, welcoming environment throughout the whole place. Rooms are basic, but that's reflected in the cost. The bar is open late and is a really nice place to wind down for the night.

Arrived at the hostel at 1.45pm, room was free but they made me wait until 2pm anyway. Room was on the 4th floor and the lift didn't work. I had to go up and down the stairs for more than 1 hour as the key they gave me didn't work. The staff couldn't care less, at 3.15pm I still didn't...

Previously I came to YHA Bristol on at least two previous occasions before this one. The first one very good; Second one (the one before this one quite bad!) This was because no meals were available in the evening and one nasty person had stolen my crucial medication from my Bed/Locker on the day I went for a job interview...

+ Well located hostel with a nice pub, close to the river which assures you amazing harbour scenery, friendly staff, clean and massive self catering kitchen, clean and quiet rooms, lift available, game room. – They don't do free brekkie, no free laundry but you get it of charge down there in basement, no wifi, pretty good security.
