I was a little reluctant on staying in a YHA, as I'm more used to staying in hotels. But I was pleasantly surprise on how cool this venue was, and more importantly the location was fantastic! I stayed here at the weekend as I needed to be close to the centre of Bristol. Everything I needed for my weekend in... More

I stayed in one of the double private rooms with shared facilities. Nice warm welcome from the staff, it's a small hostel right in the centre of things so brilliant location The room was average hostel accomodation One shower and toilet on my landing, I don't know how many people this was for. The rest areas were OK Kitchen is... More

Being a group of 4 girls of the age of 28+ we needed a place to crash in Bristol for one night and have a bit of a base. After reading the reviews we knew our plans were to go out and party in Bristol so thought this place might do! And you know what? It was fine! We enjoyed... More

Our room was a good size and clean but otherwise pretty sparse. The ensuite shower made this unholy noise when operated which I found a lot of fun. I haven't stayed at a hostel for a while so I forgot to bring a towel - don't make the same mistake. Although a nice touch, I wouldn't say the breakfast was... More

I don't normally feel compelled to review any accommodation really but just thought this place was a bit of a joke. After walking around in the rain all day it took a while to find the tiny yha sign for the hostel. Then the lift ain't working and I'm given a fifth room floor. Then no wifi is mentioned. Then... We are regular youth hostellers and like the flexibility it gives us to eat out or cook. Good points about this hostel: location, brilliant. Couldn't be more central. Really comfy beds, as always and the room was clean and spacious. Bad points: the kitchen was rubbish, the 'sharp' knife struggled to cut a banana. There was little in the way... More

Just returned from a 2 night stay with my husband and 7 yr old. We had a 3 bed dorm on the 5th floor. The room was spacious and clean with a fantastic view over the harbour. Lovely communal areas and children made to feel very welcome in the bar. Made a coffee in the self catering kitchen. Very clean... More

Yes, I stayed here at easter and the lift was not working. I returned in April and it was ok. So this visit, arriving after midnight, after a crowded flight and huge delays at Bristol airport, I was unimpressed to be given a room on the top floor, and told the lift was not working. The problem with my room... More

I went with my husband and our young sons (ages 7 and 10) for a coffee on Saturday afternoon. The lady who served us was friendly and helpful.
