It is a refreshing change from standard corporate fare to find such a quirky old hotel and restaurant. While furnishings and fittings are old and a bit shabby, the room was clean and had all the essentials. My evening meal (Curry with all the trimmings) had generous portions, quite delicious and was promptly served. The staff were efficient and friendly....

Two friends meeting for lunch, good sized portions, home cooked meal with scrumptious pudding. Very friendly and helpful staff, attentive not intrusive. Fire in the grate and a nice beer. What more could you ask for on a cold winter's Saturday afternoon?

The Bell is divided across both sides of the main road. There is a pub/hotel/ restaurant on one side, and accommodation in a once grand and imposing building across the street. That building is mostly not occupied by staff, who come across as required. The rooms are alright and reasonably kept, but the place feels like it is on a...

Just got back from a very pleasant two day stay at The Bell Hotel we were very pleasantly surprised a cosy room [old fashioned granted but the clue is in the name "old country inns" ] the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good which surprised us considering what we paid would definitely stay there again.

The Bell Hotel is split into 2 buildings, 1 either side of Bedford Street in Woburn. The West side is simply a pub/restaurant. The bar area is a litlle cramped to say the least but on a quiet Monday night was fine. After being served drinks and asking for a table we were taken up a couple of steps to...

I stayed here with a colleague whilst away on business. Check in was a little slow as we had to wait for someone to come across the road to help us. I was staying above the pub. The pub is old and creaky but has character. My room was cold and had an old smell or was a room that...
