We stayed for one night after a day at Woburn Safari Park. We had a room in the courtyard which was quiet, spacious and clean and the bed was comfy. We enjoyed a drink outside on arrival, and the breakfast the next morning was very tasty and plentiful.
My wife and I stayed at The Longs Inn for one night whilst cycling from Oxford to Cambridge. From first contacting the Inn to book until the morning of departure both the owners were very helpful and friendly to deal with. Our room (Room 9) was spacious and clean, the bed was very comfy, breakfast was excellent and secure bike storage was provided. We would have no hesitation staying here again when we're next in Woburn.
Loved every minute of this break. The hotel was originally 16th century which has been added to considerably. We had an older room which just added to the charm of the hotel. The room had a small lounge area as well as shower room. Everything was spotlessly clean, sparklingly white towels and comfortable bed. We enjoyed a brilliant breakfast being able to order from the breakfast menu or have separate items individually all included in the price. The owner was very friendly and amusing with various stories being relayed. I would thoroughly recommend Longs Inn to anyone.
Booked for a group of eight people staying 27th and 28th May. From the very first contact with the owner, Dave (and his wife and stepson, sorry forgot your names) we could NOT have been made to feel more welcome. Rooms were perfect, breakfast SUPERB and the bar was very homely and ticked every box. The Otter was spot on. Even with all the Covid restrictions in place, which were adhered to we were made to feel sooooo welcome. Thanks for a fantastic stay, hospitality 2nd to none. We will definitely be booking again ...... fingers crossed for the racing !!!! Jim Teale
We stayed in room 9 for two nights and liked it at the Longs Inn. The check-in was fuss-free and we balanced our way up the stairs to the top room. I’m glad there was no fire drill whilst we were there as the stairs are small and winding, but it’s a very old building and we loved the character of it. The room was well equipped and spacious, as was the bathroom. The shower was lush and perfect power and temperature. The bathroom floor is mega slippery if you have socks on so may be worth warning of that before anyone does a Bambi. Good night’s sleep, room was definitely warm enough and only noise was from the traffic which is not a criticism. They had a selection of board games too which was fun! Breakfast was tasty especially the sausages. Wish I’d asked where they were from. We met the owners on the morning we checked-out and they were chilled and friendly. Two things besides the bathroom floor I’d mention are - hand sanitiser needed in the entrance, and skirting boards and lamps could do with a bit of a dust. None of those things however, would hinder me from going back and staying again. …
