Rocks placed strategically to maximise car damage when reversing from garage. Extra charge for decent coffee at breakfast. No quality dining facility available outside winter peak period. Novatel Lake Crackenback is an amazing place to visit in springtime and I only can imagine how beautiful it would be covered with snow. A short drive to Thredbo village, first time we have been here without snow, the village was filled with people couldn’t believe how popular this place is out of season. Restaurants and bars opened, I would... More

Stayed there in the middle of October. Believe it or not it was still snowing in the morning but the days became warm. So we stayed in the three bedroom chalet which had a balcony right on the water and it was very nice. It was warm and the room were big. The onsuite was nice and having three toilets... More

We stayed at Lake Crackenback in mid October. It was a beautiful time of year with snow and sunshine alternating throughout the day. Highlights were the fly fishing lesson with Matt, archery, walking trails and the spa. The buffet breakfast is included and is a feast. The only disappointment was the indoor pool and gym were closed at the time... More

Rented a home here privately which was lovely. Lake Crackenbrack is a pretty spot not far from Thredbo and quieter. However the resort could be kept a bit smarter. Lots if litter around which distracted from the pretty spot it is.

Dear cjpric, Thank you for your comments regarding the Resort. We have recently been experiencing very strong winds which is why you would have seen litter around the Resort. Our staff are out each day tidying the Resort after these winds. Thank you Kind regards The Team at Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa More

Lake Crackenback is a lovely destination. A great a la carte restaurant which serves amazing food much of it sourced from the local area and the Alpine Larder which has fantasic pizza and terrific cafe morsels. Licenced. Coffee is great. There is also a spa so you can be pampered, mountain bike trails, archery, golf. Fantastic.
