Visited twice during our week in a nearby village. Both times the food we ordered was of a very high quality and reasonably priced. Great atmosphere, the pub was busy with local people, all very friendly The bar and waiting staff were very professional and friendly. I would absolutely recommend this pub.

We were staying in a remote farmhouse near Lake Vrynwy and the very few restaurants in the area closed for evening trade. So apart from cooking on our wonky, pre war stove, we had to travel to get an evening meal. If we were closer we would have used the Brigand every night but that was an hours drive. Eventually... I hate having to give less than favourable reviews but unfortunately The New Inn disappointed us. Positives first - The bed was comfortable and clean and after closing time of the pub it was nice and quiet. Breakfast was okay and generally the staff were friendly enough. The free wifi was useful as no mobile signal at all but this... More

I booked the rooms In January for my sons and brother in law so they could stay the night after celebrating my other brother in law's birthday. We all travelled from Essex so they were tired and expected to have a peaceful night. On arrival they were told there would be a stag party and that it would go on... More

Had booked a room back in January so would of thought a quick courtesy call to say that they had booked in a stag do for this weekend wouldn't of been asking too much.. Asked to speak to the owner about it at 10-30pm when another coach load of drunken lads turned up only to be told its not his... More

Evening meal out with two teenaged boys. Went here for supper one night with my wife and two boys. Found the pub had a good range of meals to cover all our needs. Friendly staff and a good range of drinks. Also a plus for the boys it has a pool table and only 50p a game.

Built in the 17 hundreds and has retained that special character. Arrived on a Sunday evening at 1800 hrs with my son and two grand children and were made very welcome by Di the owner. Sat down to a really hearty meal especially after the long drive from Scotland. The meal was excellent with a great choice and water to... More

Whilst this inn would benefit from an upgrade it is good for the price you pay. Good breakfast. Pleasant staff. Clean room. Lovely location for walking. Dog allowed in room. Open on a Monday( many aren't!) & serves food all day - a bonus. Would suggest you need to find somewhere else to store linen waiting for laundry other than... More

This was our local pub whilst we were staying in the area. Made to feel very welcome especially as we had a dog with us. Food was excellent, enormous portions and very reasonably priced. Would definitely recomment
