Very good ambience and food well cooked .Service ok,some of young staff could do with more training. Limited menu meant we only ate her once during our weeks stay in Ravenstonedale. It didn't seem as good as last year but perhaps going back is never a good thing. Included vegetables with all main courses was a big plus in these... More

We stayed in room 6 which was a good size and extremely well appointed. We stayed for dinner and breakfast and the food was excellent. Brilliant walks on the doorstep and hand pulled ales to quench your thirst on return.

We only called for a drink and we did sit outside with our dogs. The pub is very clean and the staff are friendly. The toilets are clean and modern. There was plenty of room in the beer garden for people to sit in.

My wife and I were staying just outside the village of Ravenstonedale. We ended up going to the Kings Head on three occasions for our supper (we were only in the area for 4 nights). The food is of an extremely high standard. Starters, main courses and desserts prepared and presented beautifully. By far the better Inn in the village.... More

Nice rooms, very cosy and clean. Breakfast was cooked to order which is what I like. We had a late lunch in the bar after a 7 mile walk which was very very nice! Imagine in the winter sat in the bar with the fire going how cosy, very nice to be there then. Will be back!

We’ve used the pub restaurant a number of times but recently we’ve been here twice for Sunday lunch. (So can confirm the consistency!). The Roast Beef is absolutely top quality, plentiful and very tender. It comes with a Yorkshire pudding and both roast and mashed potatoes. A fabulous selection of fresh vegetables and additional gravy are served separately. All fresh,... More

Went for an evening meal as we were camping nearby. Lovely welcome by knowledgeable bar staff and great ales on tap. It was early evening so there was only one other table apart from ours. Service was attentive until the food arrived. My partner had fish and chips. The batter was soggy, as if the fish had been microwaved and... More

Two night stop over at the King's Head whilst travelling up and back from Scotland. The staff are very friendly and food good. Would recommend, however if given a room choice, go for room no six as its the largest of the six rooms on offer. Stayed in room number 1 last night, very small, should really be for a... More

Had a splendid meal there. Lamb tikka that was extremely well presented and very tasty, so tender that the meat literally melted in the mouth! Restaurant is pleasantly relaxing with lovely wood burning stove, Good service and reasonably priced. A good night out.
