Spent in the lodge five days. Service was perfect, room was comfortable, clean. We had many activities, walk through the jungle, the same but during the night too. We were fishing piranhas, those we caught were prepared and served at dinner (among other, regular food). The lodge is incorporated in the jungle. We did enjoy in the nature. Good to take... More

I am interested in the environment and culture of areas visit. My guide Renilo Vasquez Carbajal fit the bill. I was in a small group as I was there just before Christmas. Renilo went out of his way I believe to make the experience all that it could be. He knows the area very well as he grew up in... More

My husband and I were on a tour and stayed at this lodge for three nights while we explored the Amazon. To get to this lodge, you have to take a boat on the Amazon River - about 45 minutes or 1.5 hours depending on the boat. Once arriving, you climb up a lot of steps and walk to the... More

It was our first time in the Amazon. Our guide from Condor Travel, Roberto, could not have done more to make it a most memorable experience! We could not fault anything at the hotel. The maracuja daiquiris were absolutely to die for!

This is the lodge to stay at when you visit the Amazon in Peru. The Amazon is very interesting to visit, but the heat and humidity can easily get to you. Stay here at Ceiba Tops with air conditioning, hot water showers, and a swimming pool. Enjoy nature but be comfortable doing it. The food is good, and the staff... More

It had electricity, running water and private rooms. Better than the rest in the area. Nice staff. Moderate food. Good, but it seemed like they tried to cater to US clients. NOT local food. Free WIFI in common areas. Had connecting rooms. Ask for rooms with river view. AC and ceiling fans in the rooms to discourage critters! Nice outdoor... More

The accommodation is basic - but that's not the point of being here. Its the location on the Amazon that is amazing. Trips are organised from Ceiba Tops - walking in the rain forest, seeing Cayman at night, fishing for Pirhana (and having the catch cooked for lunch) visiting the Yagua Indians, they keep you very busy and you must... Ceiba Tops Lodge was outstanding after experiencing Explorama Lodge. The rooms were air-conditioned, you could flush toilet paper down the toilet, and the food was very good (especially the fish chowder). There may be reasons--logistics?--not to stay here for your entire stay in this part of the Amazon, but we cannot think of any. There was even an outside pool.... More

Given that we were in a jungle, the lodge was "comfortable". The 79 steps from the river up to the grounds of the lodge were tiresome. Since there are no roads into or out of the lodge, all outings required boat transportation, therefore, 79 steps down to the river and 79 steps back up. The food was barely adequate. I... More

We stayed here as part of an Evergreen group tour. We travelled from Iquitos by motor boat for about an hour. There are lots of steps to climb to get to the lodge. The accommodation was basic but adequate. Air conditioning was available which was welcomed in the humid heat. The meals were very ordinary and served buffet style. We... More
