Nestled in nature, Libertad Jungle Lodge receives accolades for its serene atmosphere, despite some guests mentioning the night-time music can pierce the peace. The lodge's integration with the surrounding environment, along with its range of activities, captivates visitors, although a few point out the basic amenities and lack of advanced technology. Cleanliness is a standout feature, with daily room service earning high marks. Service at the lodge is often described as exceptional, with staff providing personalized experiences. The rooms, particularly the private bungalows, are spacious and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable stay that many deem good value for money.

Our experience in Liberated Jungle Lodge is such a great one that we really enjoyed it. We were picked up from the airport in Iquitos and used three types of transportations you get to the lodge: car, tricycle, and boat. Meals were covered in the payment and they were really good! Our tour guide May speaks very good English, and he is very patient, nice, humorous, and knowledgeable. He customized our tours and filled our time with interesting activities such as looking for pink dolphins, jungle track, fishing, catching alligators at night, etc. Many thanks to May for making our experience so fun and unforgettable.

Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Coming from the UK, the experience was another world; the animals, the food, the location, the sounds and smells were amazing! Our guide was Remigio, he knew exactly where to find the animals, very knowledgeable about the fruits and also offered a range of activities we could do. We stayed in the Jungle Lodge for 4 nights total (1 night camping), the price was great considering it includes all food, drinks, accommodation, 3-4 tours a day (2-3hours each), transport to/from airport and a private guide. Would love to come back during dry season! The whole experience was authentic and exactly what we were looking for!

We had an amazing trip in the Amazon thanks to Libertad Jungle Lodge! The trip was very flexible and you are able to choose your own schedule of what you’d like to do and see during your time there. The days are typically split into three different sections, allowing for three activities each day: one in the morning, afternoon, and then one in the evening if you’re feeling up to it! Our guide, Larry, was very knowledgeable and always went above and beyond to spot wildlife while we were out on the boat. He also gave a us a lot of information about the jungle itself and the species within it. Staying in the accomodation itself is a great experience as you are always surrounded by nature and you can enjoy the sounds of the jungle. The beds are made daily and there are mosquito nets. Overall, I cannot recommend Libertad Jungle Lodge enough! If you want an unforgettable trip to the Amazon, this is where you must go!

An amazing experience! Would recommend to everyone. The Lodge is located in a small community and run by the friendly locals. The rooms are large, basic and clean with tight fitting mosquito nets which were great. We stayed 4 days and 3 nights and had the best time! Our guide Larry was fantastic, he was so knowledgeable about flora and fauna and helped us spot lots of wildlife. He was also very accommodating to food requests and was willing to do any activity we wanted. Having a personal guide really makes the whole experience so unique. The lodge itself is very peaceful, we loved the detachment from a busy environment. Seeing the sky so full of stars at night because there’s no light pollution is worth everything!

We stayed 3 nights and 4 days with my family. We were 5 adults and 4 minors.
The good: the concept of the accommodation. The people of the town are "partners" of this tourist venture and they all work together, synergistically and giving their best so that the experience is unmatched.
In addition, part of the proceeds are used to pay for school supplies, ensure expenses for the elderly, etc.

The disposition of the staff is excellent, it is clear that they are an active part of the project, so they always give their best and are available to solve any problem.

Really, the most outstanding thing is the human quality of all the people who work to make this beautiful project consolidated.

100% recommended

The correct rooms are their mosquito nets, sufficient cleaning, showers with cold water (we went in winter and hot water is not necessary), varied and sufficient meals in all aspects
They provide boots for excursions, ponchos for rain, and extraordinary guides with a boat to be able to plan each day to suit the visitor.

Things to improve: in my case I had read and knew what to find in the Amazon. But there may be people who require more hours of electricity, Wi-Fi or other amenities. Not me but if you are looking for luxury this is not the place. The luxury of this place is reflected in the people who serve and manage it, not in material matters.

Beautiful experience, great connection and a very nice part of this trip to be able to feel part of a community for a few days

We were picked up from the hotel by our guide Kevin who was brilliant from the start of our trip to the end. We were able to chose from a large list of activities to create a truly personal itinerary. Every day we went out on the boat to explore with our guide and our boat driver Freddie (who was also brilliant). They were very knowledgable on the local wildlife, fruits and plant medicines. We learned so much every day and we were able to see so much wildlife up close and personal thanks to kevin/freddies expertise.

The meals were all really tasty including local produce. We were even able to cook fish we had caught ourselves during one of the activities.

The rooms at the lodge were spacious and beds had a much needed mosquito net. The rooms were also cleaned every day (e.g beds made up, bins emptied).

We would 100% recommend Libertad Jungle Lodge. A once in a lifetime experience. As it is run by the local community, it provides a truly authentic experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Libertad Lodge and all our activities and excursions. We felt very welcome and safe during the entire trip. Our guide, Manuel Andres and his assistant Rolando, were very knowledgeable and accommodating. They made sure we did everything we had planned to do and more. They looked after us at all times, ensuring we were confortable and enjoying the experience. The food was excellent and we had a spectacular lunch and dinner during our full day out and camping night in the jungle. We are so happy we chose Libertad as we could not have had a better and a more meaningful experience knowing that our visit also helped the entire community.

Organization: Very good. The team was always up to date, correct and punctual.
Communication: Excellent from the first inquiry, through booking and activity planning to follow-up.
Value for money: Very good, as we booked a package (4D3N) and really everything we needed was included [accommodation (simple and top for the location), food, transport, several activities per day, guide]
Quality of the food: Simple and really excellent! Remember, Libertad is in the middle of nowhere and the kitchen worked magic (even vegetarian on request).
Guide and tours: We were very well accompanied, informed and felt very safe at all times with our great guide Remi and Captain Sandro. Remi offered us options on every tour, has great passion and respect for the nature of his homeland and makes the stay an extraordinary experience.
We would recommend booking at Libertad Jungle Lodge at any time. A socially ecological, fair and sustainable project that we were very happy to support.

In august 2023 we spent 4 days (3 nights) at the Libertad Jungle Lodge, and I would have definitely loved to stay even longer but we had to move on...
The lodge shares ground with the native village and you can stroll to the village if you like, but you can also stay separated from the locals if you prefer.
The accommodation is very basic, just the way it should be - out there in the jungle. And it is very, very clean; I couldn't resist - stayed barefooted the whole time!
My favourite place at the lodge was this attic with hammocks - great place for siesta.
The food is excellent, so original and purely local, needless to say very healthy. Always freshly made fruit juice, from the different fruit each meal...

I liked the way they organize their toures. Each tour is private, no matter how small the group. And each of the guides acts like your friend, not an agency employee. You plan your tour from day to day, and you can make changes on the go. Everything is so chill and fun. Loved every second there!

We hat a great stay four 4 days 3 nights at the lodge. Our guide Gumer was very welcoming, very flexible with our wishes and super knowledgeable. Food was good and the entire village of Libertad showed super hospitability. All the tours were extremely custom, rooms were super clean. Would 100% recommend. From what we researched and heard about other lodges, value for money here is unmatched in the region.

They provide muck boots for you to use on all the hikes. I suggest lightweight long pants. I also wore long sleeve shirts and treated pants and shirts with permethrin to try to keep the mosquitoes away as much as possible.
