Maniti Expeditions is great. The staff is very knowledgeable. I learned so much about the city, the Amazon, and wildlife. The trips were fun. I wasn't sure what to expect with the accommodations. They turned out to be nice.

I have some experience with wildlife excursions and expeditions in different countries, including Peru. I wanted to have a deep experience of the Pacaya Samaria region, so after careful reading of the website and some email conversation wiith the Booking Office, I decided to book the longest tour offered by this operator, the 12 day "Pacaya Samiria Extreme". On a... More

The tour we chose was flooded out, we weren't told until we arrived, chose another tour that he said would be the same, just as we arrive on the boat he says he forgot to mention that its not quite finished. We get there and there is a group of men building the huts. nothing was prepared and while we... More

We spend 4 nights at Maniti and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had! We did hikes In the jungle, swimming in the Amazon, piranha fishing, we went to monkey island where tame monkey eat out of your hands, we visited the local village and helped to make sugar cane drinks, we went tarantula hunting (see photos).... We had a good time, but because of the lodging, I think this experience should have cost about 1/2 or 2/3 what we paid for it (we had the 10% discount + the processing fee wavied, but I feel we overpaid). I paid everything before we arrived, but I heard numerous complaints about the manager saying the card reader was... More

There were good and bad things about this trip but in my opinion the bad outweighed the good. Good: 1. Guides were nice and knowledgeable. 2. Food was good. 3. Monkey Tour. Got to observe and hold various animals including monkeys, snake, and sloth. This was my favorite. 4. Piranha fishing. 5. Swimming in Amazon. Bad: 1. Officer manager in... More

My fiance and I loved our experience with Maniti. The 4D/3N stay was the perfect amount of time to spend there. The tour guides were very knowledgable and spoke english well. They maintained a very relaxed atmosphere, making sure to regularly speak with us directly about which activities we wanted to do each day. Edwin is awesome! The food was... More

We were looking for a real adventure in the Amazonian forest and we got it. We hate amazionian food all the time, made severals excursions with an experienced guide and got to meet Amazonians. Due to the bad weather, the organisation was able to modify the tour so we could see and do the activities planned.

The guides are absolutely the best part of this adventure - we had Ascuco and Edwin, but we got to know the other guides (Rene, Homer, etc.) a bit as well while we were there. They LOVE their jungle; a lot of them were born there and they get so excited showing it off. I'm sure they do each of... More

Booked the 3 day/2 night excursion. It included airport pickup but when I arrived nobody was there. Thankfully I speak Spanish and found someone who called the agency who authorized a private taxi to take me to their office where the driver was reimbursed. Overall the experience was nice. The guide, Homer, was very knowledgeable and funny, and made the... More
