Just returned from a two night break & had a great time. Lovely views, quiet room(in the old part) food lovely & staff outstanding, friendly & down to earth. When we arrived we were shown around the hotel by a very friendly man with a nice personality. Lovely fire in the bar, made it very cosy & welcoming, will definitely...

We stayed here for one night last week as we were going racing at Hereford. The food and staff were excellent, the rooms were a little tired but were clean. My only moan would be that the shower had a curtain not a glass screen when will hotels learn that this is not very hygienic! The food was plentiful and...

Just had two nights here. Old building with a more modern wing which may explain the very different reviews. In our room the walls were very thick (old building) and it was lovely and quiet. So.... Good 1. Nice and warm. 2. Friendly and helpful staff. 3.Good bed with nice bed linen. 4.Flat screen tv with some extra channels. 4....

A very pleasant little hotel situated beside the A49. There are splendid views over the small valley behind the premises. We stayed here for a Christmas break 2016. On arrival, the staff were very welcoming and we were shown our room. This was a good size, on the ground floor called a Valley View and indeed had a lovely view...

Arrived at hotel, got to the room, very cold as no heating had been put on!. We ate at the pub, rather than venture out, not impressed with the food. Thought it was over priced for food food, pie was a little bland and given sprouts and red cabbage with pie and chips! Beer and cider not up to scratch,...

We stayed at The Pilgrim Hotel for a weekend break in the run up to Christmas, and had the same room as last time with a view of the valley (albeit misty on both days). We ate in the Hotel on both evenings of our stay, but were advised to eat early as there were parties of 30 plus in...

The hotel is very old and needs refurbishment. The rooms were OK. except, it was extremely noisy as the walls are like paper and we couldn't sleep well due to noise. The worst thing about the hotel was the breakfast: extremely poor choice in the buffet, consists of lowest quality cereals and some tinned fruit. The cooked breakfast and even...

Thank you Tripadvisor for allowing us to respond to this misleading and highly distorted view of our business, particularly of our freshly prepared breakfasts which have received excellent reviews in the recent past. Perhaps the most telling part of the review was the total lack of comment on our wonderful staff team, friendly welcome, the stunning views and the fabulous...

Second visit to this hotel this time was for our 43rd anniversary. Couldn't have made a better choice, this hotel provides comfortable accommodation . The food can only be described as high quality and the service you receive is second to none. Trevor the (barman, waiter, receptionist, oddjob man) does a fantastic job and always with a smile. Had a wonderful time we...

We stayed using a voucher our son had given us as a present. Looking at previous reviews we opted for upgrading the room to a view over the fields at the rear of the building. The hotel is in three sections, an original part (in which we stayed, and two newer wings). The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful....
