Was visiting friends for a couple of days and decided to stay here to try it out. Was really worth the stay. The views are amazing here. The rooms were also very large. The service was a bit slow but I was fine with it....More
Stayed here during recent trip to see Victoria for first time. Chose because of quiet in the bay location & proximity to Butchart Gardens. Room was gorgeous-fireplace, sliding door to large private deck overlooking bag, ferry to cross bay at doorstep, complimentary sparkling cider on...More

Spent two nights in a villa at this lovely hotel. Expensive but well worth it. Two bedrooms with a den like room with a pull out couch. Very modern and a large deck overlooking Brentwood Bay and small marina.

Hello Hannah C,
My recommendation is to exchange money at your own bank before travelling to Vancouver Island. Your bank may offer a better exchange rate/less fees. Alternatively, you can exchange money at a currency exchange location downtown Victoria, BC. In regards, to the amount it really depends on how long you will be travelling for and how much cash you think you would need. Most places accept major credit cards including hotels, restaurants, taxi services etc.
You could also visit Tourism Victoria website to help plan your next trip.
I hope you find this information helpful.

From Vancouver, there is a ferry that runs regularly (about 1.5 hours). From Seattle there is both a slow ferry and a high speed ferry. There are also seaplanes that fly into downtown Victoria harbor and regular planes that fly into Victoria airport (code is YYJ). From the hotel, to get into downtown is pretty easy by car. Victoria also has pretty good public transportation (busses), but it would be best to call the hotel to see what the schedules are.

It's so close that we enjoyed going during the day and night. We had a rental car and it was about a 5 minute drive. We also kayaked over to the back entrance and that took us about 30 minutes. If you go on the same day that you visit, your ticket will get you back in for free the same night.
Blue's Bayou Cafe, the restaurant referred to above, was really enjoyable too. The jambalaya was tasty and it is right on the water too!
