Lodge does not have a/c, rooms don't even have window screens to keep out the multitude of mosquitos. Dinners OK, breakfast and lunch very less than adequate. There is a Huge corkage fee if you take your own liquor otherwise a really substandard beer, wine and spirit selection. (They'll probably have a capping fee for toothpaste next). Only TV and... Headed up to Bamfield and stayed at Tyee Lodge with 19 people. Greeted on the dock by the guides ready for the transfer to the main lodge. Customer service was great. The lodge has stunning views of Barclay Sound. Was not sure what to expect but was blown away by both the great service in the lodge and the quality... More

My company took us here last summer for a weekend fishing getaway. In fact, my company has been coming here every year for good reason. The resort is very nice and in the perfect setting. Food here is excellent and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The guides were excellent as well. We limited out every day on pretty much... More

I can't wait to head back to the Tyee Resort some day soon. Our group of 12 spent 3 days fishing, our guide Andy was excellent. He was certainly a tough nut to crack, but we got a smile out of him within the 1st day :) As this as my first time fishing, and being the only rookie in... More

I have been coming to this lodge since 2002, bringing a dozen friends and customers, I keep returning as this is an awesome experience. We have found the location to be the most beautiful and productive on the Island. The lodge is rustic and perfect for a west-coast experience. The meals have been outstanding. But the real reason we return... More

Nice lodge with great views and good lodge food. That's where it ends. The host was surly and the guides obnoxious. The docks were in such poor condition we had to wash our shoes each time we walked on them. We also didn't know about the hike up the hill from the dock through the backyards down the driveway to... My group just completed a trip to Tyee Resort. DONT DO IT. I wish I would have found and read the other reviews warning potential visitors that this lodge has deteriorated badly in recent years. We certainly found that to be the case. The moment we arrived at the dock, the guides were arrogant, negative and unhelpful. Instead of greeting... More

Get you limit each day. Great place to go by boat---you can fish so many places, Cree, Effingham, Kirby, etc---then go offshore to 7 mile bank---big bank & on & on. The hospitality is fantastic (couldn't ask for nicer) everything is at your finger tips. Cabins are equipped with all you need except food & clothing. We have been there... More

We spent 4 amazing days at the resort. From the time we arrived at the dock for pickup to drop off on departure day, we were totally impressed. The lodge had such a rustic warm feeling and Janet,Casey & Alli were fantastic hosts. The food was top notch, the staff was always friendly and the views were to die for!... More

I've fished quite a bit in my life and have come back to Tyee for a number of reasons. This resort pays attention to its guests but make no mistake, the purpose of our stay is fishing. Fishing guides and resort staff come and go, but the philosophy of the owners Jeff and Janet comes through with each staff member.... More
