This historic lodge was built and designed in 1928 by Louis Hill of the Great Northern Railway, the famous builder of The Prince of Wales Hotel along with many of the lodges built in Glacier National Park. Our hillside hideaway is located in the quiet part of Waterton nestled against the mountain and is a 5 minute walk to anywhere in town. Open your window and listen to the sound of the waterfalls all night or hang out on the large deck and watch the deer come off the mountain. And while it was undoubtedly the largest home in the park in 1928, it is small by today's standards. What we lack in size we make up for in hospitality. In the mornings we offer coffee, tea, juice and hot muffins with our famous Saskatoon Berry jam. A sit and sip to visit with other guests and learn about all the adventures available to you in Waterton Lakes National Park.

Our adult children decided to give Mom and Dad a special anniversary gift and treated us to two nights in the same lodge and same room we used on our honeymoon 64 years ago. I use the word time capsule as it is almost exactly as it was when we came the first time. Of course, it has been appropriately updated and modernized yet in such a way as to preserve the quaintness and feel of its historic past. Jeanne our hostess went way beyond "a friendly atmosphere" as she treated us like royalty, making our visit forever memorable. We loved our first stay there and on our second visit we basked in the warm memories of our happy 64 years together which all started here. If you want a stay to remember and not just a room we recommend this unique Northland Lodge in its wonderful setting.

This was the perfect place to unwind after day hikes. Can't beat the location just down the road from Cameron Falls, but without all the hustle and bustle of being in the middle of town. And, the Saskatoon berry pie was delicious!

My boyfriend and I booked very last minute with Jeanne at Northland Lodge, and everything was perfect! We had a cute comfortable room in the basement of the lodge, and the breakfast the following morning was awesome! (Jeanne’s muffins and Saskatoon jam are amazing!) Thanks Jeanne for a perfect stay!

We had a great short stay at Northland Lodge, the room was very clean and cozy. Jean is so awesome, she was very accommodating to us and our kids. You can hear the falls from the lodge and it’s just a short walk to downtown. Thank you Northland Lodge we will be back.

If you're looking for a great place to stay where the owners treat you like family then Northland Lodge is a great choice. A quaint, historic place located very close to the beautiful Cameron Falls with quick access to the Bertha Lake trailhead. The kind ladies who operate the Lodge made sure all my needs were catered to. And when it was time to check out they sent me on my way with the best rhubarb muffin I've ever tasted! Can't wait for my next visit to Waterton, and next stay at Northland Lodge. See you next time ladies!
