If you are looking for a great place to stay conveniently placed to explore the Peak District then this is the place for you! We stayed at the Old Smithy and it ticked all the right boxes for us. Great to use as a base for exploring, lots of places to visit and things to do for everyone. Would highly... More

We have just returned from another weekend at the Mews. Greeted by homemade cake, fresh eggs and a jug of milk in the fridge was a lovely touch. The accommodation is stunning, very high quality and the fine detail is endearing. From fresh flowers in every room to decent crockery to eat from. Philippa, you have thought of everything, we... 5 couples stayed in the mews and the retreat for a 40th birthday getaway. Beautiful accommodation, Philippa is very welcoming and the hot tub is great fun. The red lion is a lovely friendly pub a few minutes walk away. The fresh eggs and homemade cake are a lovely touch too. Would definitely recommend hall farm for a relaxing break.

Returned today from a wonderful week at The Mews. 4 adults and 3 children aged 8,6 and 3 and we all loved it! A lovely house with everything you could need- truly a home from home, but better! The hot tub was a huge hit and the children adored the friendly sheep, feeding them bread at every opportunity. My six... More

A group of 5, 40-something girls stayed here for a weekend last July and as we left, we booked again for this July! Philippa and Jules are the best hosts - friendly and helpful, but leave you to enjoy yourselves. The cottages are furnished to a high standard and are very homely with lovely finishing touches to every room. They... More

A group of close friends and I recently spent the weekend at Hall Farm Holidays in all the barns and from the minute we arrived everything was perfect. We arrived to home-made cakes and freshly laid eggs and were welcomed extremely well by the hosts. The barns are done out to an excellent standard, with beautiful finishing touches and even... More

We've been going to Hall Farm for the last 6/7 years and would thoroughly recommend it. We've mainly stayed in The Retreat, which is perfect for us. It's just like home from home and we love the relaxed, rural atmosphere. Philippa and Jules are wonderful hosts and we love the animals too. We're never short of lovely places to eat... More

We had a lovely long Bank Holiday weekend staying at The Mews and The Old Smithy cottages. We were a group of 10 (6 adults including grandparents and 4 children from 14 weeks to 8 years old) and found that the cottages and setting catered for us all brilliantly. We tended to meet and eat in The Mews and there... More

We had a lovely few days at the mews - (6 cows in total) to celebrate a fellow bulls special birthday! I would recomend it as it was very quiet and peaceful with a great outlook over fields of sheep and newly born lambs. 2 very good pubs nearby and a hot tub completed the spring mini break! Many thanks... More

Absolutely lovely place from which to explore the stunning beauty of the Peaks. We chose it as one of the bedrooms is ground floor & en-suite, which proved ideal for my Mum, but the place is immaculately furnished throughout. The warm welcome of Phillipa & Julian (and the chance to meet the sheep!) really helped us to have a fantastic... More
