Very pleasant accommodation in a converted chapel. very near to the manifold Valley and Dovedale for those who want gentle strolls rather than yomping across the hill tops. The host was very attentive and knowledge about the area. The very full English breakfast more than lived up to expectations, offering a great choice personalised with home made preserves.

I wish i could keep this place a secret and not tell anyone about it but it deserves a really good review. The room we stayed in was clean and spacious, good shower. Lovely Lynne served us a tea on arrival and handy tips on walks. Breakfast was lush. Not far from milldale to then walk to dovedale. I'll defintely...

Just back from spending 3 nights here and couldn't wait to say how good it has been. From our arrival late in the evening, which meant Ian had to curtail his evening trip out to welcome us, until our departure, everything was absolutely perfect. The bedroom was lovely, super clean and comfortable, and remained that way the whole time we...

Very warm and friendly welcome on arrival from host Lynne. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with everything we needed there, and a really good shower. The breakfasts are top class. I started with the healthy option of fruit and homemade yogurt before moving on to a "full English" followed by toast and homemade jam and marmalade - a...

Great location - a relatively short walk from Thor's Cave, fantastic views, and walks. Great accommodation - we had a double room that was well-equipped, super clean, and really comfortable. We were delighted with our little Easter treat - Lindt chocolate bunnies! Great breakfast - lots of choice (for meat and vegatarians), well-cooked and presented. Highly recommended for the homemade...

The great service started with the text telling us how to get to the B&B from the pub (Satnav takes you there), continued with recommended walks and places to eat, and finished with help finding a lost item after we'd left! The building is highly characteristic, very well kept and with some very nice decoration. The location is utterly brilliant....

Great food with a selection of homemade delights from yogurt to jams. A spotless house with all the charm you would expect from a period property. The hosts are wonderful with lots of local knowledge and advice. We loved our stay in the old chapel.

I rented the old school house with friends and we could not have had a better time. It really felt like an authentic Peaks experience and I'm not surprised to read high praise for Lynne on here already as she could not have been more helpful. The Internet is a little slow and you need a car to get to...

Large room, big comfortable bed, very well appointed shower room. Breakfast, served upstairs in a lovely dining space, was exceptional. High quality local produce alongside excellent homemade bread, preserves and yoghurt. Lynne is a knowledgeable and enthusiastic host, whose many additional touches lift the Old Chapel above other upscale B&Bs. For example, OS maps to take when walking and a...
