I only discovered this gem late last year when I needed a meeting venue half way between myself and the the other party. It is the first time I have had a real, log fire in a meeting room which was itself exquisite. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, no added costs for projector, screen or flip chart....

I grew up in this fabulous house, which always reminded me of a Charlotte Bronte novel, with its ghosts and stories. We have visited for tea a few times and once to stay since it was turned into a hotel. They have kept the romance and mystery and exquisite period trappings while adding all the mod-cons and top level service....

We have stayed at Callow Hall before and it's one of our favourite coffee Morning stops on our way to Derbyshire. This morning, we stopped as usual and realised there was a wedding, only because there was an overflow car park signed, "Wedding guests parking". Our aim today was to see if we could stay there for my birthday in...

Needed to use a 3 course Sunday Lunch voucher that we'd been given as a gift. Didn't know what to expect but were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived. A beautiful listed building set in stunning grounds with views to die for. We opted to take arrival drinks out on the terrace as the weather was warm and sunny. Lunch...

This is a country manor right out of a Poirot or Miss Marple novel (without the crime...!). Set in a beautiful part of the country at the southern end of the Peak District, it is a quick trip from Derby train station in a (cheap) taxi, and just outside Ashbourne. Plenty to do in the area in terms of cycling...

3 course meal at callow hotel, the food was absolutely stunning, the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The surroundings and decor of this hotel is beautiful. I had been in touch with the hotel prior to mine and my partners visit to arrange the secret garden to be decorated with candles and flowers were I then proposed to my...

We quite often have sunday lunch here, the scenery is beautiful and the food is even better. This really is something special but very reasonably priced. They really know how to make your experience wonderful, I really can't praise this place highly enough.

Room comfortable, clean, plenty of hot water, very peaceful. Excellent service in bar, restaurant and for breakfast, even though there were only four guests staying (mid-week, early Spring). Extra characters. Extra characters.

Callow Hall is situated in a quiet, country location, a little over a mile from Ashbourne town centre. Set in acres of country park, gardens and woodland, Callow Hall is the prefect setting to relax and unwind. I booked a room at Callow Hall to celebrate my partners birthday. I was looking for a quiet country spot with a touch...

The house is located in a beautiful and quiet place in the countryside. Cosy bedrooms and lovely staff caring about the details. Highly recommended for a nice weekend or a special event. Very nice food served in its restaurant as well, breakfast and diner.
