We stayed here for a night before heading to Marrakech, and was the best place we stayed during our Morocco trip. The kasbah was beautiful, and had excellent views of the below valley, and even the city lights of Marrakech. Our room was great, with great lighting, a huge bed, amazing bathroom, and our own personal balcony. Bathroom facilities were... More

My husband and I spent a wonderful couple of days at Kasbah OMAR with Kamal and Fatima. Their hospitality and concern for our comfort made our visit a delight. We took their cooking classes and feasted on the proceeds. We hiked the villages with Kamal and got such a great feel for the local people and their lives- and why... More

We stayed at this hotel two nights and enjoyed every minute of our experience. Our room was comfortable and had a small balcony where we could sit and view the gorgeous Ourika Valley. At night, we could see the lights of Marrakesh from our balcony and also from the roof-top terrace where meals were served. The tagines and other food... More

Pros. Friendly staff Cons. Space heater in room could not cope with the cold. Heating was not working in the eating area, had to wear coats. Hallways were dimly lit and had to navigate with a flashlight.

My Wife and I stayed here for two nights in early February. The staff was very friendly, helpful and a joy to be around. The room was very large and very comfortable. There is WIFI in one of the public areas which was good. The public areas near top offer amazing views toward Marrakesh and the lights at night are... More

Fantastic escape from the Marrakech madness. I highly recommend this retreat into the mountains to see an authentic side to this wonderful country. Mohamed and Kamal greeted us warmly and were truly superb hosts. From a trip to the local Berber museum to a meander around the weekly market to a Berber cooking course Kasbah Omar never ceased to impress.... More

Kasbah Omar is a hidden gem in the Ourika Valley and it's all mainly due to the management and staff.... Karim, Kamal, and the entire staff are incredible. They made us feel as if the place was our home and that we were the most important people in the world. The food is fantastic, the kitchen staff for the cooking... More

Nestled into a Berber Village in the Ourika Valley was Kasbah Omar. We stayed for 3 nights on a culinary tour with Access Trips. Our host at the Kasbah was Kareem and it was as if we were all guests in his home. The decor was authentic and warm as was the staff. The views of the mountains and the... More

We also stayed in the Ourika Valley (not sure why it is categorized as in Marrakesh) with an Access trips tour. It is newly refurbished, and nicely appointed. We were initially taken aback with the classic Riad architecture which affords no windows facing outward to take advantage of the view or to receive much natural light. Our room was large but...
