The site is just fantastic: you have an amazing view on the valley and the surrounding mountains. The place is very well decorated and the rooms are well design and cosy at the same time. The hosting couple is very nice, welcoming and full of good pieces of advice of what to do around. This is the best spot to...

What a great find was the Auberge d'Aijean in the small village of Lavigerie and the last Maison d' hôtes on the way to Puy Mary, the highlight of any trip in Cantal and one of the most scenic volcano in Auvergne. The hosts were a tiny bit cold at the outset but eventually warmer when we decided to stay...

The two best things about this place is the views and the food!  Friendly enough staff, the room was very rustic and has exposed wood beams and stone walls. The view from the room we had The Shagya room must be one of the best views from a bedroom window in the world!!! You can see Puy Mary and all...

The Auberge d'Aijean is a hamlet of about 100 people in the Cantal, a mountainous and remote area of France. We stayed there for 2 nights, and I have a feeling we will be back at some point for more. The Auberge has only 6 rooms - ours was on the top floor under the eaves, with a large comfortable...
