HI TRAVELLERS from all over the world, I m here to describe what was for me one of the worst experience in Fuertventura and Canary Island . Im living in Lanzarote since 2010 so I have a big knowledge of the best places to go . This place that I visited and of may was a nightmare . Bathroom with strong disapponting smell for all the 2 days of saying , the worst breakfast i ever see in a hotel one slice of ham and very bad quality coffee and service, the worst bed time ver with the oldest forniture in the bedroom , everything smelly and old. . The employees have a rude actitude and there actually no service day long , apart the occasionally visit of the owner . A guy with big attitude problems , no idea how to speak to people , inventing rules that were not written anywhere . I have to change work . maybe do something more useful than offend your visitors . EMBARESSING

Response from Hotel Rural Mahoh, Director General at Hotel Rural Mahoh

Ignore this comment. They are from a criminal couple that the police had to remove from the hotel. They threatened the chambermaid, insulted her, destroyed the gardens with the dog, smoked joints, chaos in 2 days !! They threatened to post comments on TripAdvisor, but we still kicked them out of the hotel with the help of the Civil Guard. no matter how many comments they put, they will be the same garbage.

The hotel is a 30-minute drive from the airport in a superb location for exploring the north of Fuerteventura. It has ample parking and a restaurant serving local food. We ate there on two occasions. There are other restaurants close by and there is a supermarket across the road from the hotel. Our room was simple, comfortable and perfectly suitable for our needs. A range of cereals, fruit, cheese, cold meat and bread were served at breakfast.

Set in a beautiful converted Canarian farmhouse in a wonderful rural location, the hotel had a delightful ambience and our room was sympathetically furnished! From Loiusa who checked us in (and waited at our table most evenings) through the bar staff and the ladies who prepared the delicious breakfast, every member of staff we encountered was friendliness personified! We had lunch on arrival and dined in the restaurant three times and everything was delicious! A fine selection of Spanish wines included several Canarian ones and an excellent Malvazia from Lanzarote. Highly recommended!

I don’t usually do reviews but I thought this experience warranted one.. staff are very nice and welcoming but the food was awful. Steak came out blue when asked for medium rare, maybe thought it was a translation error but again it come out blue if not worse than last time.. soggy chips. The 7up was nice though. Ended up having to pay for the bread and drinks.. but didn’t pay for the uneaten steak.. by this point it was too late to eat elsewhere so we had a big gulp of air for tea. Wouldn’t return

Beautiful location. Quirky building, fixtures and fittings. Great food. Perfect for meat lovers. The Canarian potatoes were the best I’ve tried on the island so far. The service is very good. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
