I cannot recommend Azulfit highly enough! Spending a week with the Azulfit family is guaranteed to leave you feeling renewed, uplifted and wanting more. I’d previously stayed at the Lotus retreat in Fuertaventura on the recommendation of a friend so I knew, to an extent, what to expect from an Azulfit retreat. What I didn’t expect was quite what an incredible week I was about to have in Santorini! It was the first time I’d met Rachel (head yoga teacher) and Jo (Pilates), who were hosting the week at a family run hotel within a few kms of the beautiful town of Oia. From day one they set in motion one of the best weeks I’ve ever had. The hotel was booked out for Azulfit guests for 3 weeks in June. I was there for the middle week. It’s small enough that the wonderful family who run it take the time to get to know each guest personally. To care for you and to laugh with you, making it really feel like a home away from home. With the added bonus of a pool, pool-side bar and the most wonderful scenery. The food is mostly vegetarian (with fish options) and homegrown. Slightly more variety at breakfast is the only thing I would say the hotel could do to improve. The bedrooms have everything you need and there’s even a circus style tent in the grounds for classes with all the kit you Highlights of our week together were experiencing the sun rise and sunset - saluting the sunrise tests your body and your mind, the early start is worth it to share in your practice in such a special location. The sunrise walk to Thira also bonded us as a group as did a laughter-filled trip on a catamaran around the island mid week. I absolutely loved the balance of yoga and Pilates on this retreat. I’d been looking forward to getting back onto the mat and finding new ways to still my mind and re-learn my love of yoga. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy the Pilates classes just as much. It really was a gift to be taught by Rachel and Jo. I loved every second! Everything about Santorini makes it the perfect destination for a week of relaxation and renewal. Two weeks later I’m still feeling as thankful for the week with such a great group of people in such a beautiful setting - I honestly couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you Azulfit for exceeding my expectations yet again!

My week at Azulfit was so magical I don't know where to start. The basics are everything that you've already read on here - the food is incredible (top marks for almost 100% vegan); the rooms, the pool, the beautiful outdoor areas and most importantly the yoga shala & deck are all amazing; the staff are incredible; the extra therapies on offer are everything you could possibly want; and of course the yoga and pilates classes are brilliant - diverse, challenging, restorative, creative. (Side note: the staff went out of their way to accommodate my dietary requirements which made the whole trip so much easier and completely stress-free.) That would have been enough, but two things made it particularly special: the festival; and the other guests, amazing women who I am still in touch with now. Azulfit is 10 years old this year and my friend and I were lucky enough to book onto the 10 year anniversary festival week. (We were the only two who knew each other already - everyone else were solo travellers). The schedule was bursting with so many yoga classes, pilates classes, traditional ceremonies and Q&A sessions. There was everything you could want to keep you entertained, from a huge variety of yoga styles to a stellar cast of expert yogis and teachers sharing their practice and experience. The whole vibe and atmosphere was so relaxed that you could take part in as much or as little as you liked. Azulfit threw their doors open to the community in the middle of the week and the place was absolutely buzzing with activity, laughter, happiness - a really special day to add to the already incredible week. I learned so much about yoga - how to improve my practice, the history and culture, how to set intentions and how to calm my busy mind. More than that, I learned so much about myself - my strengths, my challenges, what's important to me. Without really meaning to I did a lot of self-reflection - it's a place where you can open yourself up completely - and this has stayed with me and started to steer me along new paths already. Finally the lasting impression for me is the incredible group of women I met at Azul. I was completely expecting to just turn up and do a few yoga classes - I honestly barely thought about the other people who would be there (maybe because there were two of us going together). What I completely didn't expect was to meet a group of such inspiring, supportive, warm, powerful people who are now firmly part of my life! The only way I can describe it is like feeling at home. I have learned so much from these women and we continue to support each other (particularly important when you come back down to earth with a bump after a week at Azul). Obviously the people will be different at every Azul week. But - I am absolutely convinced that we all ended up there because of the beautiful place that Jamie and Karissa have created. The two of them, Rachel, Charlotte, Claire, Jo, every single one of the staff have poured their hearts into this place and you can feel it in every corner. They nurture this lovely culture of warmth, love, acceptance, empowerment and all the other good stuff, that I think kindred spirits are just drawn there. It's so much more than a yoga holiday with yoga classes and a physical practice - the whole yoga philosophy is built into the fabric of the place - be prepared to listen, share, learn and grow - go into it with an open mind and open heart. Without hyperbole it was genuinely life-changing. I feel like a different person now to the one I was before that week. I'm calmer, kinder, definitely a little bit more fearless and with a lot more perspective. (I can say this with conviction now that it's been a few weeks since I returned to normal life, and I'm not just flooded with happy hormones and still on a high in the 24hrs after!) It wasn't just a holiday romance with Azulfit - it's had a real lasting impact on me. Thanks wonderful Azul 💜 x

I booked a yoga holiday but ended up with yoga and pilates. The instructors were knowledgable and kind and the whole resort made you feel welcome and part of the family. Its a bit far from the beaches so be prepared to take public transport or hire a car - driving is easy as is cycling.

I feel very lucky and grateful for the most amazing week at Azulfit! Everything from the food to the classes and accommodation have been so carefully and whole heartedly thought out. It was like a home from home, yet magical and life affirming. Having never been on a retreat before I was a little nervous about the 'unknown' and worried whether the people would be friendly. I was both relieved and excited to discover that the group of 14 women from all over the world all shared a humbling kindness, warmth and sense of fun. One of the nicest aspects of the trip was to learn about my fellow 'retreaters's lives and to hear their stories. I had been having a bit of a difficult time before coming to the retreat and it was as if the universe had sent the loveliest, most open minded people to help me heal and I met some firm friends which I hope to meet up with very soon. I get the impression that Azulfit is a place of 'magic' in that wonderful people are drawn there and that these people often leave with a lot more than just a relaxing break. Our manager Claire put us all at ease when we arrived tired and a little nervous on our first day and was a continuous warm and fun-loving presence- Claire couldn't do enough for you and made the already beautiful setting a real home from home. The teachers were world class standard and as fairly newly qualified yoga teacher I found the classes offered something for everyone; Rachel, the head yoga teacher is an astonishingly good teacher, motivator and all round human being. I have never met someone give SO much of themselves in every single class and to everyone she meets. Rachel's energy, enthusiasm and intrinsic kindness was felt by everyone and I left feeling both lifted and humbled by her warmth and openess. Her yoga classes were exploratory, challenging yet gently paced and nurtering. It was the perfect combination to both introduce you to the sometimes daunting beginnings of yoga or to kick start your practice if you're a seasoned Yogi having taken time out. Rachel's classes encompass all that is great about yoga, built from her years and years of practice and an exhausting list of incredible training and experience. If ever there were a true 'Guru' (besides the one inside all of us of course!) she would be the gal for the job. Infact, I think if everyone were lucky enough to get some regular 'Rachel Time', the world would be a better place:) I have tried a few Pilates classes at home but it had never really floated my boat. That all changed when I experienced Jo's classes. I found them inspiring because they were so brilliantly effective! Jo managed to introduce me to muscles I didn't even know I had, thanks to her inventive style and use of all kinds of props I'd have previously avoided for lack of knowledge. I can now honestly say that I have found THE resource to doing something about my ongoing back problems and am a firm convert! The classes were fun, innovative and gave us all a great sense of achievement...I just need to do a lot of practicing now to get Jo's never ending legs and amazing svelte, honed figure! Hehe! Lottie is a warm, caring and patient yoga teacher who also introduced me to a new form of self care- I have always naturally gravitated towards a more dynamic yoga class, thinking it needs to be physically challenging to be effective. Having been introduced to Yin yoga, I now realise that what we think we need and what our mind and bodies actually need are two different things!... Sometimes the best thing you can do for your body and mental wellbeing is to stay still long enough to listen to it-Lottie gave us the opportunity to do just that. I think we all discovered a lot about our mind, body and soul in this life enhancing and for some of us life-changing week. Lotties classes gave us permission to slow down and to nurture ourselves which is a a gift in itself. My massage, which was included in our week retreat was literally the best massage I've ever had! Yasmina is remarkably intuitive, warm and seems to have 'magic' fingers! Following my massage I booked her for reflexology and she picked up on a lot of things I had known about my body as well as some things I didn't know. I left feeling like we should all have a Yasmina in our lives- both for her heavenly massages and for her genuine, lovely personality. As for the food, all I can say is it is some of the best vegetarian and vegan food I have ever tasted! The reviews are all true! I was so inspired, I immediately returned home and got cooking homemade granola and lentil shepherds pie! So much thought has gone into the Azulfit menus and so much care and love goes into making the meals. We all felt completely nourished and nurtured by the end of the week. The kitchen team are quite simply amazing!! Thank you Azulfit, you were just the tonic and I feel truly blessed. Without a doubt, I will be back!

Dear Lucia, Where do we start! Thank you for your kind review, and all of the details of your experience. We are grateful you chose to spend your week with us and together with your fellow guests connected and created life long friendships from the time you spent together. Thank you for your kind words about the team and the care you received, we are extremely blessed to have such a kind and welcoming team - they are all experts in their respective fields, who come together to care for everyone so well. Your description of Rachel is incredible, and she is indeed as humble and every bit as wonderful as you describe. She has an incredible history and yoga 'pedigree' but you would never hear her shout about it. She simply infuses everything she does with love and compassion and shares her education and inspiration wholeheartedly! We are so happy you felt that way and we are blessed to have her leading the yoga program with us. Jo is also an incredible teacher, and her connection and understanding of yoga weave into her Pilates method, which is fun, challenging and healing at the same time. Thank you also for your kind words about self-care and discover in your sessions with Lottie. She is so passionate about yoga and sharing those tools, its wonderful you felt that care and took away tools for your own self-care from your time with her. We will be sure to share your kind words with the team including Claire, Yasmina and the kitchen team. They will be happy to know that your time with us was so nourishing and that you felt the Azulfit 'magic'. There IS love infused in everything we do and we can't wait to welcome you back!! Take good care of yourself, stay in touch and we hope to see you again very soon. All the best in health and happiness to you in the meanwhile!!

Recently returned from a week here, and this is the best yoga retreat that I have visited so far, and I have been to 6 others. From the moment I arrived, as a solo yogi, I was made to feel welcome and within minutes had met other lovely ladies which I then spent my week with. Rachel is just the loveliest yoga teacher ever, funny, kind and brilliant. I loved the mix of yoga that we did. I had never done pilates before and am now a total convert. Jo who introduced me to this amazing activity is a fantastic teacher, so knowledgable, supportive and again great to have as a teacher. Jo also plans all of the amazing veggie food at the retreat. So all in all, great yoga, great pilates, a gorgeous place to relax or not, eat and meet some of the loveliest ladies and crew. Plus it is a great location as Fuertventura is a stunning island with great beaches, walks, restaurants and shops. Loved every second and cannot wait to go back.
