Absolutely loved this place! Would come back 100%. The property was quaint and tranquil. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful. The cabin was clean and cute (recommend booking one with a fireplace).
We loved our cottage/cabin nestled in the trees and foliage. It felt like we were secluded and away from everything yet we were close to town and activities. Easy parking and spacious rooms with large, wonderful windows. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend Los Pinos.
Beautiful place, we saw a armadillo as soon as we arrived, the nature, perfect weather. The cabin was beautiful, confortable, big windows so we could see the beautiful view of nature. Great prices, hospitality! Rafael and his family where very nice, friendly and helpful. Recommended 5/5 👌
We had an incredibly wonderful stay here with our family in two cabins. The trails were great and the location is perfect between Santa Elena and Monteverde. So great having a kitchen to cook breakfasts and heat up left overs. We saw lots of birds, agoutis, coatis, and frogs
Whilst I wouldn’t say our stay at Pinos felt “luxurious”, it was a cheaper accomodation in the area and provided us with what we needed. The cabins were clean, offered parking space and had a small kitchenette in there. It was a bit dated and didn’t feel modern, but was functional and provided us with what we needed. The one thing I would call out is that there are no wardrobes in the cabin to put your clothes…. Which felt very strange to me! The cabins have a tin roof, which paired with the rainy weather in Monteverde and being surrounded by animals made it quite noisy to sleep in at night. However, It’s probably worth noting that this is somewhat in line with expectations given the lower price point compared to other accomodation in the area. Cabins aren’t cleaned daily unless requested due to covid - I would have probably preferred there to just be a cleaner in place which didn’t require us to request for it. There’s a trail created on site, which was nice to walk and took around 45 mins to complete the full loop.…
We had a lovely stay at los pinos. It had a suberp vibe. A very big garden to walk in ! More than ahalf an hour walk. With viewpoint. And some more text to finish the 200 words that are needed. What a pity because I stated everything above in short …..
Excellent stay at Los Pinos! Our family deluxe cabin was perfect for our family of 4 and gave us all the space we needed. All 3 bedrooms had their own bathrooms. The balcony with the hammocks and lots of seating was a great way to enjoy the amazing weather. The cabin was very clean and had absolutely everything you need. Amazing nature within the grounds - we saw lots of armadillos, agoutis, coatis, and lots of birds including toucans. There are also several walking trails in the grounds that lead to a great viewpoint over the forest and all the way to the sea. The location is also perfect - within 5 minutes walk, there are 3 restaurants, a coffee shop that does excellent breakfasts, several souvenir shops, and a well stocked supermarket. All trips pick up from Los Pinos so there is no need for a car.…
Great hosts in this wonderful location. Very private, the lodges are huge with a full kitchen. Small bakery 50m, supermkt and a decent restaurant 100m. 15 min walk into Monteverde. Wildlife everywhere you look.
Friendly, family-owned where ecotourism is clearly a high priority. Nice hiking trail right on property. Town for restaurants is walking distance. Bus stop very close to get a ride to National parks. We also used a local version of UberEats while staying there (easy to use, affordable and was recommended by the owners). Enjoyed our stay.
The hosts were excellent made our stay by helping with great recommendations and bookings. Lovely family owned business and very peaceful clean spacious cabins where you can hear the rainforest sounds.
