Stayed in Ingram with our dog. It was superb. Well equipped to a very high standard and immaculate with a really nice welcome hamper provided by our host Kelly. Just as the website describes. This lodge is located on it's own by the riverside which provides absolute privacy in a very peaceful setting which is exactly what we wanted. Saw Harry the heron most days on the river! Plenty of nice country walks from the lodge, including the most important one to the village pub which has good pub food and friendly locals. Kelly was on hand 24/7 to ensure everything was spot on. Great base to explore Hadrians Wall as well as Northumberland.
Stayed in Ingram lodge with dog and it has superb facilities for a hassle free stay. Secluded and away from the lake on the riverside which made it very peaceful which is what we wanted. Saw Harry the heron on the river most days. Plenty of country walks. Short walk to local pub with good food. Easy access to exploring Hadrians Wall and the rest of Northumberland. Beatiful welcome hamper left by host Kelly who was available anytime if needed. Highly recommended for families as well as couples.
Return visit and just as good as the first. Stunning lodges in a stunning location. Plenty of fish were caught, time spent walking, looking at the lambs, relaxing in the hot tub and sauna and just chilling. Worked out perfect to book two lodges for the family, to have our own space and then get together for meals and drinks and pool matches! Ages ranged from 14 to 80 with something for everybody. Many thanks also to Kelly for giving me Louise's contact details for the massages and facials, this just added to the whole relaxing spa feeling of the lodges and Louise was so lovely. As Arnie says - we will be back!
My sister and brother in law have been going for many years and this time we were lucky enough to join them. It exceeded our expectations. Not only was the lodge stunning and fully equipped for every need but the scenery was beautiful and sooo peaceful. It was just what we needed and can't recommend it enough
Fabulous! We stayed at Ingram as we have a dog. It is beautifully secluded right next to the River Rede. Thé accommodation is excellent with well equipped kitchen, welcome hamper and cosy furnishings. The BBQ hut is gorgeous, private sauna and hot tub. We were just disappointed not to have clear skies. If you like the north east, you must stay here.
Wow! We absolutely loved our stay in Drovers Lodge. I have never felt so relaxed on a holiday. The lodge was spotlessly clean. Beautifully furnished to a very high standard. Extremely comfortable from the sofas to the super king sized beds. There was a lovely welcome pack which included all essentials, milk, tea, coffee, eggs, bread, preserves, butter and a bottle of Prosecco. The hot tub and sauna were such a treat, especially after playing golf and walking. We ate at the Bay Horse a couple of times, but a good find was the Fountain cafe in Bellingham. They serve until 8pm on Thursdays-Saturdays All in all a wonderful week, we can’t wait to rerun next August!
5* is not enough for this location. The lodge was perfect in every way. It was exactly as pictured, if not better. It has everything you could possibly need and more. The location is so peaceful, beautiful and tranquil. We loved every moment of our stay and wish we could rate it higher... it deserves it. The owners are on hand for anything you may need and go over and above what you would expect for a holiday.
REDEWATER LAKESIDE LODGES First Visit: Didn’t disappoint Wow. Fully understand why the reviews are EXCELLENT Our party was made up of two couples. As soon as you turn onto the driveway you get the WOW factor of view/tidiness all the way up to your lodge: Our Lodge was the last in the row of three: Ample parking space for two cars. On entering the lodge yet again another WOW. Once cars unloaded, we settled down enjoyed the scenery and best of all the silence, so quiet. The large windows looking out onto the decking and lake are a real treat. The bedroom balcony seats also a delight to sit on looking down on to the lake, in the early morning/ late evening. All items in the kitchen clean/well looked after, utility a good idea with overflow fridge. It is also a treat to find accommodation with both bedrooms each having their own en-suite. We enjoyed the Hot tub/Sauna. This was checked discretely/quietly daily. The outside table & chairs made a nice place to sit for drinks etc. sun loungers an added bonus on our visit as the sun shone. All furniture, appliances in the lodge not dated or tatty, very well looked after. Lovely touches with the welcome pack and also the toiletries. Towels/Robes provided very soft, good quality lovely and thick. All the comforts of home and very clean. Many Thanks for a lovely stay, the lodge and all about the business are a credit to you. We wish you continued success. …
