Great unspoilt location overlooking the river Thames. Wonderful helpful friendly staff. The food was very good with a wide range of choice. Traditional "pub grub" plus a great variety of "specials" all well presented and good portion sizes. Sunday roast dinner is a must!

Good:- room was overlooking nice river location with a balcony. Not so good:- Bath panel hanging off and large chips in bath enamel, no where to put the wash gear etc. Breakfast was very poor quality, orange juice was warm bottled bar mixer. come on how much is a nice carton of orange juice from the supermarket which would serve... Beautiful room overlooking weir but stain on carpet and one chair and missing lampshade on ceiling. Linens all clean and fresh. Main pub desperately needs a paint job. Morning staff very kind and helpful, breakfast fried but poached eggs good. Evening staff young and less interested/experienced/trained. Could be so much better with not much effort.

My husband and I stayed here for four nights and enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The food was very good and the staff could not have been more accommodating. It's in a great location (once you find it) right on the Thames. We would definitely go back again. If you are looking for a low-key, relaxing venue, this is definitely the... More

My husband and I went for Sunday lunch today. I have Coeliac Disease so gluten makes me very ill. This is not a lifestyle choice but has serious medical consequences. The waitress, on arrival, told me the Sunday roasts were gluten free - the only menu option that was. I ordered a roast, (prepared to live without Yorkshire pudding or... More

I stayed last Thursday in a lovely room with balcony overlooking the Thames, wonderful! The staff are so customer friendly (a special mention to Zoe and Callum behind the bar). The food was good as well! Highly recommended.

Took a ascosiat to lunch at the beautiful old traditional pub,the decor is old world. Seemed like the seventeenth century. A absolute must see or should I say experience. Out side by the side of The River Thames is a large patio with wooden tables, on a nice day this is most enjoyable. The staff are very nice and helpful... More

Overall - This is not high-tech, guest pampering hotel, to be started with.. but you will be amazed by how comfortable it is when you start your first night. Here are some factors that I discovered during my past 10 days staying in this lovely small hotel (with a pub on the first floor) [Surrounding] You are forced to relax... More

We were on our bikes one very hot sunny Sunday afternoon and thought we'd stop at The Wier in Walton on Thames. I'd said to my wife "I'm just going to get a quick pint"..... 30 minutes later and I had only just got served! We were queuing out the door, the same queue used for food orders! They don't... More
