If you've ever wanted to stay in an old, authentic French castle, here's your chance! The rooms are great if you like that original feel. Stone floors, brick walls, older style furniture etc. A fantastic breakfast room, with a massive table to sit at with other guests. There is English spoken here and the manager was keen to show us... This is a fantastic hotel, full of historical character, where the staff are so friendly and helful. We loved our stay, and will certainlt go back again. If you get the chance, book the Knighrs room, with a fantastic bathroom and superb views. There are a lot of steps in accessing the hotel and rooms.

This is my 2nd stay at the castle. My first with the new owner and caretakers. Levin, Carine, and their family made our visit magical. We brought our 14 & 15 year old for their first visit. From the food, accommodations, and people... We didn't want to leave! Can't wait to visit again.

Stayed here on the way down to Isle de Rei. A first class stop over but also worth a longer stay. Ideally situated not far from the motorway if heading down towards Tours , Poitiers, Bordeaux etc.,The husband wife son and daughter in law who run the chateau made us extremely welcome..The gardens are very nice and full of bird... Lovely friendly welcome. Fabulous medieval bedroom up the spiral staircase (no lifts). We were staying in Geoffroy du Bec. We had a welcome bottle of wine & water waiting for us in the room. There are also tea/coffee facilities. We popped into the the nearby town of Chatellerault for dinner and to grab a bottle of wine to take back... More

thank you so much for a special stay, we were the only guests, hosts spent time telling us all about the Chateau and cooking us a delicious dinner. Advice, if you have dietary needs do email them before. there is no menu and they had planned a delicious lamb. not good for a vegetarian!. However they rustle up a wonderful... More

We stayed one night en route to the Dordogne. The chateau is well kept and maintained and the owners who by now will have sold and moved on were very hospitable. We stayed in the turret bedroom which was great. Breakfast was communal and very enjoyable. The chateau is worth staying at and I hope the new owners are as... More

We stayed at the chateau only for one evening, and it was great. Our room was not among the best ones, but good enough. The owners were very nice, the breakfast makes you feeling at home, and their garden is amazing!

We stayed here in the way down to Bordeaux for a family holiday. The Chateau is a real WOW experience - it truly is stunning with beautiful gardens. The owners Jean-Marie & his wife Marie are excellent hosts and could not do enough for us during our stay. Marie served a fabulous home cooked evening meal for us whilst Jean-Marie... More
