Marie-Pierre and Alain are the perfect hosts. They have restored the rooms in the Manoir to their former glory and have left no stone unturned for comfort. We stayed in the Bruce suite which was three rooms over about 120 square metres. The four-poster bed and fireplace in the main room gave a truly regal feel to the place. M-P... More

Spectacular house, huge impressive rooms, extremely welcoming hosts and the food was excellent. The routine is the have dinner with Marie Pierre and Alain, who are lovely. But if your fellow guests aren't entirely to your choosing the evening can be a little wearing, through no fault of the hosts or the facilities

We arrived after 10.30 pm, having been delayed by a strike at Calais, but were offered a freshly-cooked, four course meal. The house is a delight for those whom love historic homes, It has been beautifully and lovingly restored and fully justifies a detour. This is a place that deserves to succeed; it is a real treasure!

We stayed at the Manoir de la Bouliniere for two nights earlier this year, it is is an outstanding building. Our room was huge with a four poster bed and a view over the garden. The peace and tranquility was fantastic and despite arriving a day early our hosts were fantastic and arranged for a table at a local restaurant... More

We stayed here on our way back to the UK from Spain and experienced the most fantastic welcome from our hosts, combined with a beautiful room and an amazing evening meal. We would recommend Manoir de la Bouliniere to anyone!

June 2013 - We have just returned from one night stay at the Manoir - on our way back from the Pyrenees. The house, rooms, food, hospitality far exceeded our expectations. We had a suite - 3 children under 6 were very comfortable in their own room off the master bedroom. The master bedroom with fabulous 4 poster was as... More

What an incredible place to stay as we were travelling through France. Beautiful rooms with ancient charm while having all the modern amenities. The hosts were exceptional and caring, wanting our experience to be perfect in every way. They have lovingly and painstakingly restored this beautiful manor house. In a peaceful location with beautiful views, we could not have asked... More

Sawdays sets a very high standard indeed but this B & B is truly exceptional. Not only is the manoir an amazing centries old medi-evil hunting lodge being brought back to life, but the added charm of the hosts make this a must for anyone travelling to the south of France via the A10. The Manoir is an amazing home... More

Marie-Pierre and Allain are charming hosts and their shared passion for cuisine, history, jazz and detail, all contributed to a wonderful stay for us in their beautifully restored hunting lodge under a giant cedar tree. Dinner comprised local wines, freshly prepared foods and an exposition of the history of the area and the lodge, as well as the origins of... More
