Marie-Pierre and Alain are the perfect hosts. They have restored the rooms in the Manoir to their former glory and have left no stone unturned for comfort. We stayed in the Bruce suite which was three rooms over about 120 square metres. The four-poster bed and fireplace in the main room gave a truly regal feel to the place. M-P...

Spectacular house, huge impressive rooms, extremely welcoming hosts and the food was excellent. The routine is the have dinner with Marie Pierre and Alain, who are lovely. But if your fellow guests aren't entirely to your choosing the evening can be a little wearing, through no fault of the hosts or the facilities

We arrived after 10.30 pm, having been delayed by a strike at Calais, but were offered a freshly-cooked, four course meal. The house is a delight for those whom love historic homes, It has been beautifully and lovingly restored and fully justifies a detour. This is a place that deserves to succeed; it is a real treasure!

We stayed at the Manoir de la Bouliniere for two nights earlier this year, it is is an outstanding building. Our room was huge with a four poster bed and a view over the garden. The peace and tranquility was fantastic and despite arriving a day early our hosts were fantastic and arranged for a table at a local restaurant...

June 2013 - We have just returned from one night stay at the Manoir - on our way back from the Pyrenees. The house, rooms, food, hospitality far exceeded our expectations. We had a suite - 3 children under 6 were very comfortable in their own room off the master bedroom. The master bedroom with fabulous 4 poster was as...

Marie-Pierre and Allain are charming hosts and their shared passion for cuisine, history, jazz and detail, all contributed to a wonderful stay for us in their beautifully restored hunting lodge under a giant cedar tree. Dinner comprised local wines, freshly prepared foods and an exposition of the history of the area and the lodge, as well as the origins of...
