We stayed one night here. The location is very quiet, in a pretty, secluded valley. The reception and the manager were very pleasant and helpful, and the evening meal was very good - the lamb was particularly tender and tasty. The room was fine if a bit basic, but it was still good value for the price we paid. Overall we enjoyed our stay here. Quite a unique place.
Stayed in the largest of the ground floor rooms. Well furnished with a comfortable big double bed and a good sized shower room and a separate toilet. Dinner was fairly simple but was fresh and tasty. The location is really the star here. In a small secluded valley with a horse and a donkey in the field just opposite the room. Quiet gentle walks along the valley. We will certainly stay again. Driving away from the property in winter could be a bit of a challenge if there is snow on the ground as the slope of the road is fairly steep.
Clean, fresh and spacious, my room at the Granges more than lived up to expectation.En suite with separate toilet, with a very large comfortable double bed (plus two large single beds) we had loads of room to swing a cat. Tastefully decorated in greys and creams with modern furnishings, with a great power shower and an attractive range of "freebie" toiletries, this Chambre d'hote type establishment confounded the notion of a rustic French barn. The staff were very helpful and obliging. When we eventually left our only regret was that we had not booked for longer. Fantastic value for money. 5*.
The gravel around the property was a little tricky on the motorbike but the owner was incredibly accommodating and offered to house the bike in his garage but it wasn't necessary. A huge warm welcome from the owner and a most idyllic place. Our room on the ground floor was spotless, amazing wet room and huge comfortable bed. We had our evening meal there which was very good. Will definitely go back.
We stayed several days around New Year's eve at this typical old farmhouse completely renovated with good taste and comfort. We stayed in one of the three "chambres de charme" on the ground floor and had a great time visiting the region with lots of natural scenery and charming little villages. What we loved : - the owner and his wife are very welcoming and really helpful. They give valuable advice as to what to see and when in the region. Really great hosts. - the bed, pillows, bathroom are comfortable and the heating is great (it was -10C at that time at night and we were never cold) - the breakfast is nice although quite simple. Excellent local cheese and the best apple juice in the world! - there is at 6km in Aumont Aubrac a nice restaurant "gastronomique" where we enjoyed New Year's Eve - le Camillou, and a nice every day restaurant as well. To be known : - the place is quite secluded so better to come equipped with the proper tires in winter, as snow or ice can stop you from reaching the house on the last mile. - WiFi is working not so well at times, do not hesitate to ask the owner for help, he will solve it - no restaurant on location in winter, although you can ask for cold plates…
