Amazing place surrounded by nature, with incredible view of the mountain above. I stayed here with the rest of my hiking group from where we climbed Fengari peak. The owners were very helpful, friendly and they assisted us with everything we needed. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. I would love to come back and stay at this place again. I recommend this place to the future travelers who like to wind down in a peaceful surroundings.

Whilst we had planned to stay in a number of other places on the island, we enjoyed Alekas Studios so much that we spent all our remaining time here. The Studios are a complex of self-contained rooms, set the grounds of beautiful gardens with fig and olive trees, as well as roses. The units are spacious, with their own bed and living space, and well-appointed, each with a self-contained kitchenette, and bathroom inside, and veranda outside. A lot of thought, and attention to detail, has gone into the Studios, making them a really comfortable, as well as tranquil, place to stay. Whilst each Studio is self-contained, there is also a larger communal kitchen and outside eating area for more ambitious cuisine and social eating. The studios are serviced and kept very clean with fresh linen provided daily. The gardens are a great place to sit and enjoy the sun by day and the stars by night. It's a wonderful place to wake up in and to come back to at the end of a day's exploration of the beautiful Island that is Samothraki!

The 'host' was nowhere to be seen. Very aloof and not really interested in finding out whether we were happy with our room or stay in general. The room we were supposed to get (as per booking.com reservation) was definitely not the one we ended up. No wi fi coverage in the room, and we had to go to the garden to get any signal. Even then, we did not have the password and had to ask other guests for it. No kitchen as advertised (there was a sorry excuse of a sink and a gas hob on the outside). The room had an en suite bathroom which would flood every time we would have a shower (the curtain was covering only half of the enclosure). The air conditioning unit was only pumping Arctic temperature air at full blast, irrespectively of the temperature or fan speed we selected. The outside door handle would come off every time we would try to close and lock the door. We were left to sort all the above on our own, because, as mentioned earlier, the host was nowhere to be found. Nevertheless, we did not allow these issues to hinder our stay. We enjoyed the island. We are not happy with the room, certainly not at such an inflated price. Stay somewhere else. Plenty of decent places all over the island. The people cleaning (the property owner's sister and brother in law) were left alone to sort the cleaning and running of the place. They looked unhappy about the arrangements and I am sure they were underpaid.

We stayed here in a 4 bed apartment. The place is located in Therma, which is one the best locations on the island for exploring the vathras. Mrs Aleka took her time to explain everything we needed to know to get around the island. Rooms are clean and have all one might need for a stay. Also, the garden is beautiful, with cherry trees that she let us pick and eat. Mrs Aleka is a host that can serve as an example.

Alekas studios was perfect place to stay for our Spring holiday in Greece. Beautiful garden, tables and chairs in the garden, nicely decorated studios with all kitchen and all kitchenware, plates and cuttlries.Wonderful landlady, Aleka was very accomodating and helpful. Cleaned everyday, changed towels and sheets regulary. We couldn't wish for more. Sea and the pebble beach on 5 minutes by walk. Samothraki is an unique island, wild and unspoiled.

It is a wanderful place. Aleka and Vanghelis are very nice..even thow they don't speak english..they understand what do you want. It is the perfect place...but is a little to far from the beach. But the rooms are big and clean, the garden is perfect..I love that place

We stayed in two rooms in one apartment (Aleka studios 2). There are also nearby Aleka rooms which I guess others who booked got assigned too. To start with the good: Rooms were reasonable for the price, small with no room for luggage but not cramped. Sheets and towels were clean. Lovely balcony's with nice Greek views and working air conditioning but there is little privacy from people next door. The bad: Construction quality of the studios was not great at all, gaps between the window doors and walls meant for many insects creeping through even when closed. Believe me, we had moths, crickets, flies.. Bugs but nothing horrible like cockroach. Bathrooms were small and cramped but basic and showers small. They were mostly clean but one shower curtain was slightly moldy. Despite a party of 4 our rooms were still 2x twin like expected in a hotel. The shared kitchen had a gas stove that looked unsafe that didn't work and cupboard with no shelves(just flooring) it wasn't clean and there was no kettle for boiling water. Everything is bare minimum, the most you get is hand soap. The WiFi in our building was poor range and did not work even in range, instead we had to go nearer to the other apartment's (sometimes maybe our balcony) to get a signal. The rooms were serviced once every two days, not each day. The water safe to drink but warm. The air con although working was noisy. As were the fridges in the room. The location was nice, off the main road and close to therma. You can cut through to the village almost or just travel via the main road. It also isn't far to the beech or even the waterfalls. The Lady who owns the apartments demanded a deposit even though we booked through booking.com (even with credit card guarantee). She was nice and said we could use her computer for Internet (since WiFi in the apartment did not work perhaps). It seems like she was a shrewd business Lady who owned at least one other apartment's in the island. Boisterous but not unfriendly. She made us pay up a day before we left. The Greek people living downstairs seemed very nice and once gave us fresh figs from their garden. I would say you can't really argue for the price, but I wanted to state facts. I think for a young couple these basic apartment's may be ideal as the price is low, but I wouldn't recommend staying here as a family, if you are older or do not appreciate nature.

Good place to stay at Therma, close to "night life", clean but the rooms are too small, (there are smallest also at Therma). If I can't find a bigger I can stay again. The prices are very good and there is an open kitchen where you can make your coffe for free.

We stayed at Alekas for a week. It was everything we were expecting from Samothraki island and from the accommodation itself. The rooms were very clean, we liked a lot the garden and the nature around us, the peace and all the creatures there. You should love the animals of all kind because on this island, you'll meet even in your room different kind of creatures. The bungalows are not bungalows, it's a big house with different rooms and exists in the garden, but it's nice and calm. You have there all the basics needed. You shouldn't except the luxury coming out from them. These are the conditions, with nothing different from what presented on their site. I totally recommend this accommodation for all of you who love being in nature, with common comfort and not expecting from this place a 5 stars stay.
