We have just returned from a delightful one night stay here, after visiting friends in the local area. We were fortunate to stay in the beautiful, very spacious, tastefully decorated double/twin room with en suite. If available, I would certainly suggest that you try to book that room. The bed was quite comfortable and made for a very good night's sleep. The house is filled with an eclectic collection of of art and curios that reflected Liz's years of globe trotting and continued to impress. Although it's winter, the house had a warm, cosy, inviting feeling throughout. Liz was very welcoming and quite interesting to converse with. Her breakfast was delicious and well thought out. I don't normally eat sausages, but she tempted me with trying her homemade ones. I'm so…
Farthing Corner was one of the highlights during our 2 week family vacation to England with 6 adults, 2 from Texas, 2 from Michigan, and 2 from Wisconsin. Liz is delightful and a most helpful host, greeting us every morning with a beautiful table setting and a fabulous breakfast! We visited Avebury, and Salisbury Cathedral while staying at Farthing Corner. We enjoyed some close by pubs for dinner and chatting with a few locals. One will never find a more perfect thatched roof cottage! Thank you for sharing your home, Liz, as it was a dream fulfilled for me. God willing, we will be back. Jeannie Murray from Texas.
We were a group of 9 using 5 rooms both double and single, en suite and using the communal bathroom. All rooms were sizeable and clean with massive beds!! The whole home was beautifully historic Free WiFi. Liz was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with a lot of selection. The bathroom was lovely with everything you could need. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a friendly B&B.
A beautiful old building with thatched roof. Very comfortable stay in lovely large room with equally large bathroom. Liz made us feel right at home in her home and we enjoyed a lovely home cooked English breakfast.
We stayed one night at the end of our trip to a beautiful part of rural England. We arrived at Farthing Corner and was greeted by Liz, who immediately made us welcome and really feel at home. We stayed in the beautiful en suite room which was furnished beautifully with plush linens, towels and antique furniture. Ted on the bed was a lovely touch!! Breakfast was one of the best we have had, with home made pink apple juice, home made sausages and bread fresh from Switzerland! Thanks again Liz for sharing your beautiful home, we will certainly be back.
