My room was pre booked by a booking company through my employer as I’m here on business. I arrived at the hotel at 3:45pm. After sitting in the lobby until 6pm I was finally able to get into my room.
The front desk clerk was having issues getting me checked in. After trying to check me in for 45 mins, he called the manager and asked her to come in and help. She arrived at the hotel at approx 5pm. She walked the clerk through my check in. Turns out that my room had not been cleaned yet and they had to call cleaning staff in to clean it.
I explained to the manager that my room was booked by a professional company for my business trip and the manager replied “when your room is booked by someone else you should call and check with us that everything is done correctly so that when you arrive we don’t have these problems” SERIOUSLY!? I’ve been travelling for employers for 15 years and 90% of the time My room is booked for me! I’m not going to say there has NEVER been an issue, but I will say I have never waited over 2 hrs in the lobby for my room and I have never been told what I should do when my room is booked via someone else or on behalf of someone!
I was not offered another room while my room was being made up, I was not offered any compensation because of my wait and due to an error on behalf of the hotel!
I was so polite and understanding with all of the issues, I never once showed any discontent, I just sat and waited. After the 7hr drive I was tired, hungry and needed a shower, so I just sat and waited quietly. Being that I am originally from the area, I tried to give the clerk, manager and cleaning staff the benefit of doubt. I recognize that sometimes things just happen but honestly, this was pretty unacceptable!
I may have to escalate my opinions to a higher authority.

I travel to The Pas quite often on business, and always stay here. Staff is great, rooms are clean and comfy (and have in-room coffee) and Good Thymes restaurant is a 5 minute walk away. Breakfast is continental (muffins, toast, yogurt and fruit), so I usually have a bite there, then pick up something more substantial when heading into the office.

Stayed here for a hockey tournament. Definitely a top choice for the pas. No issues. Pool was good and breakfast was fine. Everything was clean and staff were polite. Rate was a bit high but that's normal when they are selling out and wasn't absurd l.

While working in The Pas, Flin Flon and Snow Lake MB, I chose to stay where the rooms are always clean and bright. Strict Covid-19 protocols are in place, which allowed for use of the Pool, waterslide and hot tub with care. Cleaning practices of doors, hallway rails and all public spaces were excellent! I always enjoy the friendly staff here, and really feel welcome every time I stay with them.
The weather too was incredible while there, and use of the Barbecue for meals was a bonus!

We were in town for a Jr A hockey game and I really wasn’t sure where to stay, but after looking on line, I called and booked Andersen Inn & Suites. I was emailed my confirmation.
If we ever come back, this is 100% where I’d stay again. The hotel is clean, the parking lot is well lit up and we felt safe.
The breakfast was basic: toast, muffins, yogurt, cereal, boiled eggs and some fruit options, but sufficient. The coffee was good (and strong) and the gentleman at the front desk even made us a fresh pot, so we could fill our travel mugs, for the hockey game.
The staff are courteous and helpful and like I said, everything is really clean. I would definitely stay here again if the need arose.

We booked the mini suite. The room was large and very clean. We had a large fridge in the room, a microwave and wet bar. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was just a basic breakfast but it was all we needed, the fruit was fresh, cereals, hard boiled eggs, toast, etc...
I had left my book behind and they were quick to contact me and let me know. I have forgotten or left behind items over the years at various hotels but none has ever contacted me.

I stayed here solo for 2 weeks while I was finding permanent accommodations - first week in a 2 Queen room, and second week in a Queen mini suite, both super clean. The mini suite was spacious and bright, and faced the back of the building so was very quiet. I never heard other people while I was in my room. The front desk staff were always friendly and helpful, even helped me with some printing and faxing documents.
There are a couple vending machines and an ATM machine on site, as well as coin op laundry machines. There are a few restaurant options within walking distance and plenty more further into town by car. The pool was under renovation while I was there, but couldn't be open due to restrictions anyways. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others.

The hotel staff was great, friendly and very understanding off all the guest, as it was a kids hockey tournament. The players were allowed to roam the halls and make new friendships. There was always clean towels at the pool and when it was quiet time it was well enforced.

The staff alone make it the best hotel around!! A Friendly and helpful crew make it a great stay.

The rooms and hallways are clean and modern.

Of course the Pool, slide and Hot tub are incredible! So awesome after a long trip.

Breakfast too, is awesome! Great choice of fruit, yogurt, breads and cereals.

I will only stay at Andersen Inn & Suites when travelling North for work.

I see things have not changed up in The Pas regarding the Racism / discrimination...I checked into the new Anderson's hotel which was formally known as super 8. So when I arrived, the night clerk wouldn't even crack a smile when I started conversation stating that I was formally from The Pas and have been away at University. Told her I was a member of the Opaskwayak Cree Nation but have always lived in the Pas for most of my life., which made things even worse! She began to answer my questions very rudely and couldn't care less that I was happy to return to my community for a long waited visit.
The next morning when checking out, the front desk clerk was nice at first, until I asked if my room was reserved under my Band for the next night.; she immediately went into defense mode and stated that a PO needed to be sent before any rooms can be reserved and that I cannot check in until then. I explained that I knew the protocol and stated that I'd take care of it. Soon after the conversation the clerk stated "sorry we don't have any rooms available". I have never been so disrespected in any other hotels that I've stayed at, except Anderson's Hotel and I think that people need to know that. I will never step foot into that hotel again!
