We stayed here for 2 nights this past weekend. This campground is very old and run down. We were given a site that backs onto a wrecking yard beside the campgrounds. It was loud and they started moving and crushing cars around 8am. Needless to say it was not very relaxing. The site that we had was very small. Not even enough room to sit in a circle. This resort does not allow fires at all. It would have been nice to have known about that on their website. The owner was incredibly rude to my children. They did not want to return after he came and yelled at us at 7pm about us playing music. Would never stay here again!

Looking to get away for the weekend and have some quiet and solitude, we were most disappointed with our experience here. When we first arrived at 6:30 PM on Friday, the office was already closed. They had left instructions of what site we were to use and it was definitely not close to being what we had hoped for. There are many nicer sites available but they chose to gain give us one with the least appealing view. We had our dog out on his lead and the campsite owner’s dog got out of the store and immediately came after our dog as if to attack it. The only owner did not seem too concerned while we were very worried that this dog would hurt ours considering how aggressive he was. When we asked the owner to grab his dog he almost seemed offended that we were worried. The bathroom was closed from 12 to 2 for cleaning and I tried to go and use it after two but it was still closed and barricaded. At 2:45, I could no longer wait and my husband pushed aside the barricade so that I could use the bathroom. The cleaning lady not soon after came in and berated me for coming in to use the bathroom and moving the barrier. That evening, the owner allowed two ATVs to drive around the property. This, added to maintenance noises throughout the day, created a very annoying and NOT relaxing atmosphere! Will not return and this is disappointing because it is convenient for us to make this a regular campground experience.

I stayed here over 30 years ago with my parents. I decided to spent 2 nights there recently. Once arriving later in the evening we decided to upgrade to a camping cabin. We had alot of fun and the kids enjoyed the pool. We would be returning.

This is an amazing camp ground. I came for the first time over 10 years ago and have been coming back regularly the past 4 years with my 4 kids. We rent a cabin and love it. The kids love the pool and the freedom of walking around the beautiful, forested, quiet grounds. Occasionally will hear a noise from the wrecking yard, but very infrequently. Close to Victoria and all the city has to offer. Propane fire rings are allowed and they have them for rent, but no fire pits. They are not really missed though as there have been fire bans in BC these past few summers. I seem to remember a communal fire pit that went nightly when there was no fire ban. Showers impressively clean, laundry facilities and a sink to wash up dishes. Small grocery to grab snack and forgotten items. Great owners. We look forward to our week away here every summer!

We were disappointed and surprised that this campsite doesn’t allow fires or even have fire pits. We tented and planned to cook food with a fire, ended up having to make other plans when arriving and finding out that there are no fires on site. Otherwise, the pool was nice and showers and bathrooms were clean.
