The service at this location was excellent. We arrived past check-in time to find a note on the door and directions to our cabin. Hostess was very friendly next day when we met. Beach and cliff across road are beautiful and offer a view of the trail. Cabins themselves have seen better days and amenities are very minimal, but space... More

The good is the cottage we stayed in was very clean and had an amazing view. The reality is it was a bit older and a bit outdated. Personally I did not care about the outdated stuff because it was clean. The problem I had was the fact that there were too many oversights: the kettle on the stove leaked,... More

Beautiful views from the cabins. Very welcoming place. The cabins are basic but very clean and the beds are very comfortable. Small kitchenette with a nice living area in addition to a bedroom. Cell coverage is sketchy and no wifi so leave you electronics in the car !! Nice walk to the beach. but very windy. Margaree this time of... More

These cabins are dated and certainly in need of an update, but if you aren't fussy and just want to be close to an amazing beach, this would be a great place to stay. The TV's are old and small but we didn't go there to watch TV anyway. They really could use wifi, because even the cellphone reception was... More

My family was disappointed with the cottage to say the least. We stayed in a one-bedroom with a pull-out sofabed. The cottage had a nice layout but was extremely dated with 70's/80's style panelling on the walls, dark green carpet, original sofabed and curtains; Bathroom fixtures were also original. The bedding provided for the pullout was stained and looked like... More

We love Whale Cove, a great beach cabin - everything we needed to cook etc - very clean - waking up to beautiful views of the ocean & magnificent sunsets at night makes for a wonderful vacation! We would highly recommend it for cabin lovers. Plan to be back next year. Peaceful place and no crowds like the beaches in... More

We visited at the beginning of the off season. Had a 2 bedroom cottage with a large window looking out at the ocean (across a street, but the cottage is set up high). The cottage was clean, had everything need to cook breakfast in the morning (you provide you own food). My mother & I stayed here 1 night before... More

Clever photography makes it seem like the cabins are a lot closer to the water than they are. The cabin we stayed in would be better described as “dated” or “shoddy”, rather than the advertised “rustic”. It was clean, but the smell of cleaning product was over-powering. In actuality, the canteen advertised as offering “fresh baked goods” had a few... More

When I first laid eyes on the place I was like Wow! What an unbearable, repulsive, depressive replica of a WW2 prison camp. This place is so bad the wild animals don't even want to stay in this dump.Talk about overpriced! I hated this place, we spent all night laughing about the absurdity of this beach port-a-potty as I'm sure... More
