Don’t be fooled by Mary. Mary likes money, she owns the guest house and is raking in $200+ a night for just one room in her house. The rainforest suite is NOT WORTH THE MONEY a basement suite, no furniture to lounge on and only one table, so to play a game we had to take everything off the table and put it on the floor. The bath is nice. There is no view in the rainforest suite unless you count the neighbor’s back yard and the neighbors are CLOSE BY. It is NOT right on the ocean, you have to weave through some houses. To eat you must leave (and yes you need a car things are not ‘close by’) unless you brought a stove. There’s no where to prep food, no tables and nowhere to wash dishes except the bathroom sink. Now, we paid $50 for the maid. So we left some dishes in a basin for her to wash in a better sink. On our way home from Mary’s she texted me to tell me she added on $258.20 to my credit card because her maid was texting her that we left a huge mess, accusing us of partying , doing drugs and smoking inside. (smokers, this property has a smoking area but no signs to indicate where that is. We smoked OUTSIDE and cleaned up 99% of our butts.) She sent me pictures, it was dehumanizing. We left $50 worth of mess. We refused and I jumped on the phone with our credit card company. For the next two weeks, she refused to give my money back and she sent the pictures of our mess to my previous employer who got me the stay in Uclulet. Now others are involved, and seeing those pictures all because of Mary’s greed. Through this we found loads of other reviews stating similar problems and since my former employer and I are on good, terms they took my side. Mary eventually relented and gave us our money back but she turned what was supposed to be an engagement event with my partner and I into a huge week of stress, doubt, anger and anxiety. DON’T STAY HERE- ITS NOT WORTH IT AND YOU MIGHT GET ROBBED.

Recently spent 9 nights utilizing the Artists Suite in Wildshores guest house. This is an amazing location, peaceful, beautiful views, hosts did an excellent job of communication and answering questions. The accommodation was clean, very comfortable and everything we could ask for. So many stunning places to hike and walk right outside your door, as well the numerous beaches and hikes accessible by car. The community of Ucluelet is a short drive or brisk walk from the door. Easy to walk in to town for a meal or to do your shopping. My wife and I highly recommend this as a location for you if you want a wonderful stay on Canada’s West coast.

We stayed in the Haven room, nicely appointed with a very comfortable bed. Check-in and -out were easy. The beautiful house has access to the beach as well as to the trail overlooking the rocky shoreline and leading to a lighthouse. We found the place a little pricey, but I guess this is true for most accommodation in Ucluelet (and Tofino). As another review mentioned the house seems to be on sale, so I am not sure if it is available as guest house for much longer....

We stayed in the rainforest suite. Situated close to the lighthouse trail on the Wild Pacific Trail and a short stroll down to the ocean. The room was spacious (actually 2 rooms and a bathroom) and the bedding super comfortable. The outdoor tub was a huge disappointment and waste of water. The hot water only fills about a 1/3 of the tub (if that) so by the time you fill it to be able to sit it's cold. There were a few spots in the room and in the tub that looked like they had not been cleaned. Would have been nice to have some sort of information package in the room as well. The property is currently for sale so maybe things are not as they usually are. But was a comfortable stay for a few nights. There was no TV but you could still access Netflix which was nice for a rainy evening! Check in and out was great!

Hello, I just came across your comments online and thank you so much for your feedback. We have replaced the hot water tank for the Outdoor Jacuzzi so it now has it’s own designated large tank.

Positives: comfortable bed, good location, the smell of essential oils in room. Negatives: there was a sign stating only 12 minutes of hot water for the jacuzzi, then it goes cold... yup, that was correct. If you see how big the jacuzzi is, you can see 12 minutes of water does nothing... it filled it up to the top of our legs, lol, and then because it’s outside, it went cold in 10 minutes. Also can’t use the jacuzzi past 9:00PM, total let down. Wifi sucked, had to go outside to get connected, even then it took forever and once back in suite could not keep it going... Netflix kept buffering, due to bad wifi. One towel per, person for jacuzzi and any showers and after making coffee in the morning, noticed the coffee cups were not cleaned from the previous guests... I am very easy going and never write reviews, but this needed to be told. We stayed in the lower suite, I think it was called the rainforest suite.... don’t waste your money.
