We love the accommodation but would have appreciated not being placed in a unit directly beside their fence construction, or to have at least been warned that we wouldn’t be able to quietly enjoy our outside balcony tub, amidst all the noise from the power tools. Furthermore, the tradesmen had loud, and extremely inappropriate conversations/jokes about beastiality, necrophilia, shooting bears, and kept dropping ‘F-bombs’ and using other obscenities. We had to leave our balcony and cover our child’s ears. Just obscene and terrible. Ruined our stay. We check out in the morning, or else we would have switched accommodations completely.

Overall the view of the room is absolutely beautiful, it makes up for everything else that was difficult or wrong with the stay. The guest service agents were very stand-off with us (which says something because I am a Guest Services Manager at a hotel in Victoria) so I was mostly dissapointed in how they reacted to us telling them about the hot tub barely working. Little to no hot water came out and it was the whole point of us staying there. I understand things are difficult right now and it’s been a draining summer, but next time id just appreciate to be heard rather than blown off. We had to ask them how they’re day was rather than the other way around.

Spent two nights over here and enjoyed it. 806 allows a view onto the Marina and from its small balcony (has a hot tub) we could spot a seal. The room itself is spacious, well equipped and just perfect. For some, not having a TV in the bedroom might be a disadvantage - not for us. This hotel deserves 5 stars if the bathroom wasnt so terribly small. Just one sink, absolutely no space to place things except for the bathroom floor. Tub + Shower combined. Overall still a very nice Hotel.

This hotel is located on the harbour side of Uclulet and had nice views from the lounge window. There is a terrace with a hot tub. The hot tub didn’t work and the repairman was required to fix it. It’s also quite old and doesn’t drain properly. The hotel itself looks reasonably good and was in good decorative order throughout. More like condos than hotel rooms - full kitchen and two bathrooms in our two bed apartment. Parking is tricky - not enough space when the place is full. Room cleaning is on request rather then daily. TV is small by today’s standards. Underfloor heating was nice and there was a gas fire too. No on site breakfast facility so buy ahead and make your own. There is a restaurant on site - Soem, specialising in Asian food, but it was closed shortly after we arrived for annual holiday, which the hotel might have thought to tell us. There are very few good places to eat in Uclulet and with Soem closed things we’re tricky. There is no pool, or gym, or bike hire, just the rooms. The on-site spa which is privately run is magnificent. The quality is excellent and would recommend a massage there. Would suggest no more than a few days in Uclulet though - unless you’re a surfer there’s not much to do. The kayak tour is good and there are a couple of nice walks but that’s about it. Better to make it part of a touring holiday than spend a week there. Beach Side Resort (Currents) is a better hotel on the other side of Uclulet. It has an in house bar and restaurant.
