We were lucky to get a ocean view campsite at the last minute due to a cancellation, and were so charmed we stayed an extra night in a different spot! The second spot was in a forest site, which was large and well kept, and a minutes walk from the main beach. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the... More

8 Km's of mellow logging road to paradise. Not for mall crawlers but if you want a real beautiful bc experience this is it. Book in advance cause the secret is slowly getting out. Rvs are fine tents whatever you have. Less fog than the outer coast campgrounds and warmer. Fishing out front as well as paddling.

We stayed for 4 nights, spur of the moment. Booked Monday stayed Wednesday to Sunday. Wouldn't camp anywhere else around here now. We're spoilt. The view, the sites, the staff. Everything was beyond expectations. I saw an echo do the drive so I think anyone can make it slowly. We will be back before the end of this season for... More

The road in was terrible with little warning. Do not take a car. It would have been nice of them to mention you should have a 4 x4 lifted truck. It not just a few potholes like they say on their site. And for what it is the camp site was way overpriced.

Thanks for your remarks ,but I do think there is enough warnings about the road on our website (which includes a youtube video of the road in) not to mention the remarks on trip advisor. Its true some people do not like our road ,but a lot of campers love the road and say it is part of the Mussel... More

This place is something else! It really gives you the feeling of real wilderness camping but still with amenities of a nice camp site. The dirt road on the way into the campground definitely will need a higher clearance vehicle. I saw a nissan altima drive in front of us and they were having a tough time. They had to... More

This campground is a well hidden gem. We had a site #45 and it was perfect for 2 families with kids. Private acces to the beach and swings in the forrest kept our kids busy and very happy :). We will be back for sure!!!!!

One of Vancouver Islands hidden treasures, my family and I camp here often. Stunning ocean views that give you something different depending on the time of day or the weather. Thirty minutes to Ucluelet and an hour to Tofino if you want to do some surfing or sightseeing. They have sites right in the trees or right on the ocean.... More

My girlfriend and I stayed two nights on a private beach site at the Mussel Beach campground before high season. The view of the beach and the sea was spectacular and the site itself was lovely, with a lot of vegetation to ensure privacy. We decided to pitch our tent there one day in advance and when I called to... More

My girlfriend and I chose Mussel Beach Campground for it's proximity to the water, availability of beach-front sites, and the hopeful impression that it would be a quiet but friendly and laidback stay for our trip out to the westcoast of Vancouver Island. We were not disappointed. The owners are beautiful people - very caring and friendly. They gave us... More
