The condo was well kept, clean and beautiful view. What was surprising was there was absolutely no non caffeinated herbal tea's in the condo or the lodge. In fall/winter, I don't want the option of black or green tea only in the evenings. When I went to the lodge to ask for non caffeinated tea, the lovely gal at the front desk said they don't carry any and gave me a tea bag from her purse. For a resort to not carry non caffeinated tea especially in fall/winter is just not acceptable give how cold you get. Also - there weren't enough blanket/duvets. There should be a spare pair for each bed in the closets. Not everyone likes sleeping with the heat on, and there were no extra blankets. My son caught a chill and it was impossible to keep him warm, ultimately we returned home with him sick.

This resort is phenomenal! Clean, great Covid measures and gorgeous views! A huge shout out to Black Rock for delivering an incredible resort that definitely didn’t disappoint. We had a wonderful breakfast at currents restaurant (on property), and enjoyed exploring the area (wild pacific trail). In the past, we’ve stayed in Tofino, but lately it seems so busy. Ucluelet seems to have a more mellow vibe.

Amazing views and location. New Management took over and are doing an amazing job! I recommend to walk 15 minutes and check out some of the places for craft beer, live music, arcade games at a local restaurant, and more!!! Oh and lots of amazing trails at your doorstep

This was my second time at the Black Rock. The front desk staff were very helpful, check-in was quick, and the room was meticulously clean. The amenities within the room were all we needed in our two nights. The bed was comfortable. I love how close everything is - we were able to walk to town without issue, even in the pouring rain. The outdoor hot tub was great, although there were no lights due to maintenance. My one critique is the Big Beach Lounge - we went on a tame Wednesday night where only three tables had guests. We ordered drinks and when we were done, not one of the three staff members would come to our table, despite trying to get their attention. We were ignored quite blatantly, and it wasn't until we put cash on the table that we were acknowledged. We had hoped to have another drink or two, but ended up leaving instead. Otherwise, this was wonderful, it is a great place to be especially during this stormy weather.

Thank you for your feedback - I am glad that you enjoyed your stay overall. We have resolved the lighting issue on the pool deck! The salt air is definitely an ongoing battle for us - it corrodes everything and quickly - add in supply chain issues and getting things repaired takes us a little longer than normal. I am sorry to read about your Lounge experience. I have shared your feedback with our Food & Beverage Manager - this certainly is not the experience we expect. We hope to see you again.

Located on a dramatic headland above the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean is the Black Rock Oceanfront Resort overlooking superb oceanfront views and surrounded by a temperate forest. Geographically situated 5 hours from Vancouver and a short plane ride to Tofino, the resort is positioned right on the Wild Pacific Trail and offers premier access to nature and luxury and a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life and yes you will be able to watch lighting strike and waves crash to the rhythm of the Pacific Ocean. Black Rock features 133 guest suites and my abode was a cozy affair, amply spacious that offered the flexibility of self catering along with a fireplace which provided a warm retreat to come back too after a day of hiking. Floor to ceiling windows provided exceptional views of the forest and the ocean. This suite featured wood and stone accents for an elegant surrounding. The bath was spa inspired with a heated floor, soaker tub and rain-shower. The resorts significant restaurant, the Fetch, is highly regarded for its excellent cuisine like varieties of local fresh fish and superb views, while the Float Lounge and Patio offers guests a relaxing place to enjoy a drink and admire the view below. The Black Rock sports the Drift Spa, a wellness Sanctuary with an extensive line of body care products featuring wild, certified seaweed ingredients that provide treatment enhancements and nourishments. So, if you are looking for a completely immersive experience coupled with fresh seafood cuisine, seaweed infused spa treatments and ground zero for storm watch.....then try the....... Black Rock Oceanfront Resort ...Thunder & Lightening.
