I checked in at the Frobisher in January and I was shock when I saw how a young staff was being yelled at by another staff at the front desk. It breaks my heart, and the young girl just stand there without saying a word back to the guy, it's not ok. no staff should be treated like that anyways I got checked in and went up to my room, came back downstairs and the guy was at the front desk so I decided to ask his name and he told me Mitileash...so I gently told him, you can't be shouting at a staff like that, I have no idea what the other staff name is but it was a black young girl. I really hope that didn't affect her but if it was me I would have quit that job because I've never seen anything like this before. Otherwise my stay was great, also very clean rooms and great food.

First of all, I have stayed here before and have not had any problems. This time however, I am deeply disappointed. First of all, there were food crumbs on the carpet that weren't vacuumed up. Second, as I walked past someone cleaning a room, all she did was hold the mug under hot water to rinse it. No rubbing or properly washing. Then to make matter worse, there was a party in the dining room where they played loud music and had people hollering for 2-3 hours straight. When I called to the front desk, they said, and I quote "you are the only one complaining ma'am. Noone else around you have called" which hotel guest would be ok with loud music all night? Horrible!! I will never come back again even if I can help it!

Mokcb, Thank you for your candid feedback regarding the Frobisher Inn. We regret that you experienced inconsistences during your stay. We aim to provide the highest level of satisfaction to all of our customers and your feedback is key for us in recognizing areas for improvement. This is no less so than in our Guest Services department where we have held several training meetings to ensure this will not happen again. I apologize for the loud music and this has been addressed. We are disappointed the room wasn't cleaned properly. We have worked hard to train and follow a standard for Guest Room cleanliness. I would like to assure you that our procedure for glassware and coffee mugs is that there taken to the main kitchen and put through our dishwashing machine. Sometimes they are quickly rinsed before they are taken downstairs. You have stated that you have stayed here before, I hope you will give us another chance to show you that this was just an anomaly. Thank you again for helping us improve. Steve Sullivan General Manager

I stayed at the Frobisher Inn for a conference. The rooms were nice and there are a lot of services in the hotel like a restaurant, bar, coffee shop, and a little store. The conference room was a nice space with a nice view. What made this place great was the staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I especially want to thank Jessie on the front desk. He helped me on the first day print and cut some name tags for additional unexpected attendees and then he helped me again the next day by finding just the perfect thing for me to put a very fragile carving in for the flight home. Thanks for everything Jessie!

I stayed while in Iqaluit for business ... the hotel is comfortable and functional. It has the necessary amenities (including wifi) and the staff are friendly and accommodating. It was a very good stay. Also, the hotel is conveniently located (although no place would necessarily be inconvenient).

This is an older full service hotel. It has been renovated and presents as a solid, clean, and comfortable property; particularly given the remote location on Baffin Island. I stayed two night, was happy with the cleanliness and newness of the linens and comfort of the bed. Good view of the bay from upper floors. Restaurant is good for beers and pub food.
